Planning my visit to "Duty Free"

Hello Everyone!
I have been lacking in posts lately, as I have been very busy with uni work. I'm also taking "Jewel By India R" In a new direction, and it's taking a lot of re-planning. Firstly, I should be excited about going on my mini break next weekend ( which I am ) but I'm already planning what I want from duty free. Believe it or not, I only actually have 3 things on my list, so I thought I would talk about them. These images are from Google, and are not my own.

Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat No 1 - 2.5ml

YSL Touche Eclat £25.00
I have only ever had one of these, and it was when I was in my early teens. I didn't really end up using it back then, and I didn't see it's appeal. However, I think everyone in the beauty world knows how much of a staple product this is, and also a life saver. I'm approaching 20, and starting to crave one of these beautiful radiance enhancing Touche Eclat pens.

Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua Compact £39.00
So I have never used another high end foundation apart from Chanel's, and I have used pretty much all of their foundations. I love most, but some aren't my cup of tea!. My current foundation is the liquid version of this, but my first EVER Chanel foundation was my " Teint innocence compact". I had both the liquid and compact version of that foundation, and I just loved having them both. I think Chanel's foundations are getting a lot more pricey, and these compacts don't last as long as liquids. I still hope to get my hands on this, because if it's as good as the liquid version, I'm sure I will love it.

Chanel Rouge Coco Shine £23.00
I haven't decided what colour I want yet, but to me these are the best lipsticks EVER. They don't have the best staying power, but the lip balm texture and the sheer colour just makes it such a lovely product to use. I was debating another YSL lip product, but I have recently purchased some new YSL lippies, and just wanted to re-invest in a Chanel lip product.

Let me know what you think about these products ?
What products would you choose from duty free ?

Top: Primark
Jeggings: New Look
Shoes: ASOS Loafers
Handbag: Chanel PST

I am not loving my face in this OOTD (Haha) But I am loving my Primark blazer, It wasn't the exact one I was after, but I got fed up of chasing the one I wanted in Topshop. It was £20.00 and it's currently in store, I am a big lover of Beige/Brown and I'm currently using my Chanel PST.

How I Set My Make-Up

Hey Everyone,
Today I have another "Temple Spa" review, anyone would think I was sponsored by them. However, I can 100% assure you that I'm not and it's just genuine love for the brand. A lot of people use powder to set their make-up, but I just don't get along with the stuff. I'm little miss "love to glow" and healthy looking skin is the most important thing to me.

£14.00 for 200ml

Naturally people may think that a setting mist might actually move your make-up around, but this product by Temple Spa definitely does not do that. It's described as being a "Mediterranean skin refreshment", it's suitable for all skin-types and consists of  Lemon, Lime, Tomato, Bitter Orange, Basil, Mandarin, Melon, Rosemary and Rose. It's also alcohol free, which is brilliant!.

How delicious does that sound ? - I constantly get complimented by Chanel beauty advisor's about how clear my skin is, and it's not from using Chanel skincare. I do like Chanel skincare, but their make-up works a lot better for me.

What does this product actually do ?
- Helps to set make-up
- Anti-Ageing & Anti-inflammatory
- Cools the skin

When I use this after setting my make-up it completely refreshes me and gives me a really dewy look, which I just don't get from Powder, and my make-up instantly looks refreshed and stays in place.

The only one issue with this product is the size, it's quite large and I wish I could carry it around with me in my handbag. They do have a travel sized version, but it does not come with a spray nozzle.

Hope you all enjoy my "Temple Spa" Reviews, they are worth checking out!

Primark & Miss Selfridge

Hey Everyone,
I hope you are all doing well ? - I have been really busy with my work, and I have also been fairly unwell again.  However, I did pop out today in search of another outfit for my Monaco trip. I'm still undecided on what to buy for my birthday, I'm thinking Louboutins/Ipad or maybe just a mass of expensive make-up haha.

I picked up this lovely "Bardot" styled dress from Miss Selfridge at £22.00 It's a classic French style, and it also pairs lovely with my new Primark blazer. I did take pictures of it, but it really didn't do it any justice, compared to the picture below.

Primark Stone Blazer £20.00

Primark Bangles £4.00

I have been trying to find a blazer for ages now and I have had my eye on some Topshop ones, but the last 5 times I have been in store they have been sold out. I needed one in time for Monaco, that was a suitable neutral colour. I was hoping for something more on the Pink/Peach side of nude, but this light Beige option is super nice from Primark. I purchased it in a size 10 as my usual size 6/8 was quite fitted, and I wanted to achieve more of a "cool" casual kind of look.

My Haircare ! - For Dry/Coarse hair

Hey Everyone!
So I felt like devoting a post to "hair" because it's something very important to every single one of us. Recently, I had a weak bleach wash to remove my so called semi permanent casting Creme gloss by L'Oreal. I would advise the dye if you want to go dark, but even the medium browns are very dark. I wanted to get back to my normal medium/dark chocolate brown. However, my hair has been left a little sad after my bleach wash.. so I have needed to invest in more of an intense haircare regime.

My Hair Profile
My natural hair is wavy, and it is very thick and sometimes can be a little coarse. However, I do sometimes have problems with oily roots, and dry ends.

Products I'm currently using ?

Kerastase Bain Clarifiant Shampoo
I use this shampoo once every week or two, as it's a complete detox and helps to remove any excess product causing oil build up in my hair.

L'Oreal Professional Mythic Oil
I tend to use this when blow-drying my hair, as its extremely nourishing. It also does a good job of calming crazy hair!. ( I am now after the *New* Mythic Oil Milk )

L'Oreal Re-Nutrition Royal Jelly Conditioner
Firstly, I love Royal Jelly it's one of those miracle products that just works, and doesn't need any hype to make it sound or work any better. I like this conditioner a lot, and my hair is always a lot more sleek after using it.

John Frieda  Frizz-Ease Original Serum
I haven't tried this yet, but it has some really great reviews. I will get back to you with my thoughts about this product, after a few uses.

I also use Tresemme "Naturals" shampoo and "24hour body" as my alternating products.

10 Little Secrets Tag

What is the one product that makes you feel like a million dollars ?
It has to be my Temple Spa "Skin Truffle" what can be better than applying a cream filled with Gold, Diamond dust and Chocolate truffles!.
What is your skincare secret ?
Invest in "Spa" skincare, as I find that Spa skincare is so much nicer on the skin compared to beauty companies who mainly sell cosmetics. There are high end brands like Temple Spa/Elemis, but also very affordable brands like Nspa in ASDA.
Share your hair care secret ?
I would say Kerastase products, and L'Oreal Professional products work best for me!.
What is your biggest diet rule ?
Make it more fun, I love getting frozen fruit and making delicious smoothies.
Any Workout tips ?
I-Phone apps are pretty good especially "Mynetdiary" & "Myfitnesspal" - I also think a good playlist, and a specific goal helps.
Which perfume is your secret weapon?
I have worn Chanel,Dior,Prada,CK recently .. but my Britney Spears "fantasy" perfume always had the most comments when I used to wear it.
A clothing item which always turns heads ?
I don't really know ? but LBD's always work!.
What is your most treasured piece of jewellery ?
I love my Tiffany/Chanel jewellery, but I will always love my Swarovski crystal bracelet which was my first ever present off my boyfriend.
Who is your style crush ?
I have a little thing for the Kardashian's, and the younger sisters dress great now as well.
Tell us something we don't know about you ?
I can never think of anything, and then I think of something great as soon as I go off my laptop!! - hmm, I was in an U18's hockey team, and got selected to go on tour in Barbados in 2008!.

Thanks for reading this my lovely followers! - Feel free to take the tag and do it on your own page, I tag everyone! <3

Birthday Plans - 20th!

Hey Everyone!
So I felt like doing a birthday post, it seems like the years are coming around quicker and quicker these days. However, I hope to have a lovely birthday, and will be filling you all in on my return. I'm not actually going for another week and a half, so this post is a little bit of "pre excitement". My birthday is actually on the 1st May. However, I like to write/read personal posts, as they are nice change sometimes.

This is me when I was like maybe 5/6 doing the sack race, I feel so old now it's unreal.

My best birthday present is going to be my weekend in Monte Carlo, which my boyfriend of 4 years has kindly paid for. This is the view from our hotel, and I can't wait to dress up glamorous, and just have a fabulous time away with him.

Then the week after I'm going away with my parents to the Balearic's to this lovely spa hotel, and we are going to have a nice "belated birthday meal" at this gorgeous location(below), which we visit often.

I also hope to pick up a few items of make-up in duty free that I have my eye on, and I will be sure to do a post about if for you on my return. I'm also having trouble deciding what to buy for my birthday, so any help would be greatly appreciated. It's between Louboutin shoes, I pad and Dior sunglasses.

FOTD - "Subtle Peach"

Hey Everyone, I only have a quick post today as I have so much work to do for my degree. However, recently I have been inspired by the make-up of the "Made In Chelsea" girls. There make-up is always very well put together, but there is nothing crazy or complicated to it. I have attached a picture of "Millie Mackintosh" below who always has lovely make-up.

Products used
Face - Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua foundation applied with a beauty blender, Benefit Erase Paste concealer, alongside Collection 2000 lasting perfection concealer (blemishes) & Collection 2000 illuminating touch concealer for highlighting.

Eyes - UD Naked palette, using the colours "Naked" on the lid, "Virgin" in the inner corner and "Dark Horse" in the crease, Chanel Intimitable Intense Mascara

Cheeks - Chanel Blush Horizon (using the peach section)

Lips - Revlon Lip Butter #Peach Parfait

My Verdict
This look is well put together, but looks very natural at the same time. I find the beauty blender helps me to create the flawless effect, and the Peach blush & lip product really help finish off the look, and does wonders for the complexion. The light Peach shades are also very nice for this seasons pastel trends, The Made In Chelsea girls also always have a nice day time smokey eye, which can be created very easily.

OOTD - Chanel/Primark/H&M

Hey Everyone,
I'm really being naughty and neglecting my assignment for my business & management degree. It is a good job I'm able to write an essay & a blog at the same time. However, I'm going to do some devoted work later on. I thought I would do a quick OOTD, because I really love doing them. My day to day style is pretty relaxed, as you have probably noticed. I'm only going to my local town today to do a bit of shopping and get some petrol. I can't wait for the weather to get good again in the UK, so I can start wearing some of my new spring clothing I have been purchasing recently.

Vest - Primark
Peach Shirt - Primark
Jeans - N/A
Shoes - H&M
Bag - Chanel PST

Hope you all have a fabulous day!

The Jewel Beauty - What's in my make-up bag ?

Hey Everyone,
I wanted to get a post done before I start my business and management essay. I hope you are all well, and have had a nice weekend. I'm so extremely tired this morning, but I'm currently enjoying a cup of tea!. I have decided to do an updated what is in my make-up bag, because a few things have changed.

Chanel Blush Horizon £46.00
I am starting to really like this blush, after giving it second place to my Dior Rosy Glow. I'm enjoying the lower half of the blusher, which combines a lovely light Peach, with a light Pink.
Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua £31.00
I'm on my third bottle of this foundation, I can never see myself not wearing a Chanel foundation. I love how light, but perfecting this foundation is at the same time. I wear b30 which is a nice match for my light-medium skin tone.
Benefit Erase Paste £19.50
This is my second Erase Paste, and despite what people say about it being thick and creasing easily, I still really love it. The melon undertones really do a great job of brightening the under eye area. If this product is used in the correct way, I'm sure more people would love it.
Origins GinZing Eye cream Sample
I decided to get myself a sample of this eye cream before I tried it, and it's really great. It has a slight colour to its gel like formulae, which is nice for brightening purposes. I would always recommend sampling eye-creams if possible. It's an absolute nightmare trying to find the right one, but I must admit I am really enjoying my sample so far.
Collection 2000 Illuminating Touch Concealer £5.00
This does a really good job at highlighting. I use the lightest shade to combat the shadow areas on my face, such as eyes, under my lips etc.
Chanel Intimitable Intense Mascara £23.00
I loved the original Gold banded Intimitable mascara from Chanel, However this one I suppose is the more intense version. I do prefer the original, but I'm using this one up as it is a great mascara still.
Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer £4.20
This is the BEST drug store concealer ever in my eyes, I love the way it covers under-eye problems and blemishes. I always keep this in my make-up bag, and It wont be leaving it any time soon!!.
Revlon Lip Butter £7.99
This is a new addition to my make-up bag, I wouldn't say that "Peach Parfait" was what I was expecting it to be in terms of shade, but I have grown to like it. I think that these have great textures, and also moisturise very well. They have been related to my HG lip product (Chanel Rouge Coco Shine), which is a fair comment, but Peach Parfait has a fair amount of glitter, so I don't feel like it's super comparable. However, the other shades in the Revlon line do vary in texture.
YSL Lip Products £20-23
I'm going to talk about all the products here, as I have been speaking about them quite a lot in recent posts. They all range from about £20-23, and they all have the most fantastic smells ever. I love all of them, and the Light Pinks #18 & #19 are really great for this seasons Pastel trends. I would always recommend trying a YSL lip product.

Thanks for reading !

Louis Vuitton Ramble!!

Hey Everyone,
So I'm back and recovering from my night out, I didn't actually get to sleep until 5.30am. I had a good night, but more to the point I fancied a bit of a ramble about Louis Vuitton. You all know how much I love my Damier Speedy by LV, but my friend also has the Speedy in Monogram, and I have the baby Speedy in Monogram.
Speedy Family !

My baby Louis <3

I adore the speedy design, the bag is such an iconic statement, and it's the perfect day bag. I love how durable they are, and how they go with pretty much everything. I would always recommend investing in a Louis Vuitton Speedy. However, recently I have been in love with the Louis Vuitton Alma!! I'm seriously thinking about starting to save up for one, as the Vernis canvas is something I really feel I need in my bag love life!.

I have become quite a "top handle" kind of girl, and I don't mind carrying my bags in my hand or the crook of my arm. I quite like Blue Lagon, but I don't think I would be brave enough for that colour. I wish that Rose Pop was still available! :( - I will be back with more beauty&OOTD posts, but I'm so busy at the moment!.

Quick Review -" Origins GinZing Eye cream"

Hello Everyone,
I'm sure quite a few of you know how unpredictable eye-cream buying can be, as you can't just try it on and see instant effects. As part of my cosmetic cut down, I have started gathering more samples and trying before I buy, which is actually kind of working with me.
I have tried eye creams from Estee Lauder, Dr Perricone and various drug store brands. I have never been satisfied really, especially with some of the high end brands who must honestly think their product is worth such a high price tag! :O. I'm looking forward to reviewing this eye cream, which I have been testing around a week. It has some pretty good reviews on the internet compared to most eye creams, so make sure you check them out as well.

I love the fact it has a slight iridescent colouring to it
It really does brighten your under eye are
It reduces puffiness & dark circles more so than any other brand!
It is around the £20.00 mark which isn't bad!
It's good for all skin types
It uses proven ingredients such as Caffeine, Magnolia, Panax Ginseng and optic brighteners.

I wouldn't recommend to someone who needs a lot of under eye moisture.
(Please note it does contain Shea Butter, So it shouldn't be that drying)
It might be a little thick for some.
It is still quite expensive in comparison to some creams.

My Verdict
Firstly, the slight colouring in this product does wonders for brightening and helping to conceal dark circles. I have noticed that the gel like cream formulae is quite thick, but it soon rubs out and causes me no problems at all. I'm not fussed on really wet eye creams, because you have to wait for them to sink in, and sometimes they can mess up your concealer. However, this sinks right in and concealing is no problem at all. I find it quite strange that it's thick but its not at all wet or greasy.  I would say that maybe some people might think this isn't that moisturising as it soon vanishes without a trace, but that is down to what your skins needs are. I love this eye-cream at the moment, as I feel like it combats puffiness & circles, in a pretty good way. However, I'm going to finish my sample before I purchase the full size product, I want to make sure that it doesn't turn out to be drying or that it's appeal wears off. I will keep you updated!

I was tagged by the VERY lovely Sophia Meola so please go ahead and check her fabulous blog out!!

The Rules
1. You must answer all 5 questions
2. You must tag 6 other beauty bloggers
3. You must link the blogger who tagged you in your post

1.      What is your favourite part about blogging?
I really love writing about things I love, and to have people interested in that is a real compliment. It’s so relaxing, and really helps me with my anxiety. I also love making friends, and I have made some great friends from blogging.

2. Is there something you don't like about blogging?
The only negative blogging experience I had was tumblr. I had many nasty comments and it was quite hurtful. I’m not a horrible person at all, so to have people judging me like that wasn’t very nice. I don’t use it anymore and I have found the blogger society is SO much nicer.
3. What are your favorite posts to read?
I actually really like OOTD & Reviews. I love product reviews, and I suppose that is what I like the most.

4. What is your favorite post from your own blog?
That is so tough, umm – I think maybe my “Pretty Pastel OOTD” I got so many nice comments and messages about that post.

5. What beauty product do you want to purchase due to reading another persons blog?
Everything!!. This is a genuine answer, if I see something with a good review.. then I genuinely do want to try it haha.

I tag you!

Product Review - Temple Spa "Be Strong" Skin Serum

Hey Everyone,
I have always preferred Spa skincare to normal beauty branded skincare lines. Spa's dedicate themselves to providing a positive experience, as well as using all the best products in their treatments. I feel like they are the people who really know what a person needs in skincare related terms. I often post about how fabulous Temple Spa is and how its stocked in Harrods and used by celebrities, so I will spare you that information this time.

"Be Strong" is a serum truly devoted to providing the skin with some serious super juice, and its got a very nice texture to it as well. It is supposed to be used under a moisturiser, but it can also be used as a pick me up skin tonic. I have been using this for a few months now and I always have my local Chanel beauty assistant asking me what my skincare is. I do like Chanel skincare, but it doesn't feel the same or as natural compared to Temple Spa's Mediterranean paraben free take on healthcare.

This product isn't greasy, and as you can see from below it has a nice gel like formulae that sinks into your skin. I feel like serums are a product many people wouldn't consider, but don't forget it's never to early to start using good concentrated skincare products. It is also suitable for all skin types!

  • Aubergine
  • Cucumber
  • Liquorice
  • Basil
  • Apricot
  • Lavender
  • Mimosa
  • Maritime bark
  • Vitamins B & E

Price £33.00

Please note I'm not being sponsored to do this review, I own the full collection and genuinely love their skincare!

Happy Easter OOTD

Hey Everyone,
Happy Easter !! - I thought I would do an outfit of the day for today, it's pretty relaxed to be honest. I haven't really dressed up just gone very pastel again. I paired a Peach shirt with a White vest, and my Mint skinny jeans. I hope you all have a fabulous Easter, and enjoy yourself with your friends/families.

This is my alternative for an "Easter Egg" - Would you swap your Easter Egg for this ?

The Jewel Beauty Spring Loves - Lips!

Hey Everyone,
So I'm very into lip products lately, and they are the product I most look forward to applying. I have hand picked my current favourites for Spring, and I hope you enjoy this post.

( L-R Estee Lauder Brazen Berry, YSL Glossy Stain #18, YSL Volupte #19, YSL Golden Gloss, Chanel Rouge Coco Shine #48 Evasion, Revlon Lip Butter Peach Parfait)

Estee Lauder Lip gloss - Brazen Berry
I love this shade as I usually associate Berry tones with Autumn/Winter, but this lip gloss has quite a vibrant tone to it. I also feel like it's got a Cherry undertone to it ,which actually makes it quite a nice colour to wear.  The lip gloss also has great colour pay off, and the texture is pretty standard  texture for a lip gloss.
YSL Glossy Stain #18
This is probably one of the most unique lip formulae's to be brought into the cosmetic industry. It feels like a gloss then turns to give more into a lipstick/stain appearance. The shade #18 is one of the most talked about, and it's a definite Kardashian colour. I love it because it goes well over my YSL Volupte, but this is probably to light for many people, and it does show lip imperfections up. I would opt for #19 which is a more wearable shade from YSL.
YSL Rouge Volupte #19
This is my second favourite lip colour/formulae and this shade is more wearable than the previous YSL lip product. I love this shade because its perfect for the pastel trends, and it looks great on a night out with smokey eyes as well. It has good staying power, and the packaging for all YSL lip products is just insane. It's also important to mention that YSL lip products also smell great, and usually smell like watermelon.
YSL Golden Gloss
This gloss is very sparkly and Gold, as you can probably see in the pictures. It's formulae is not grainy at all, which came as a total surprise to me. It's very pigmented and can go alone or over another product. It's nice to add a little sparkle sometimes, but it doesn't have as much of a nice smell as other YSL products do.
Chanel Rouge Coco Shine #48 Evasion
Say hello to my HG lip product, for me this is my number one formulae/shade for a lip product. I can best describe #48 as being a nude/beige based coral shade. It's moisturising, and provides a really lovely natural hint of colour which is just noticeable. It also has the lovely lightly fragrance that Chanel is known for, it's a fabulous lip product as resembles a tinted lip balm.
Revlon Lip Butter Peach Parfait
These have been so hyped recently, and I do like them very much. I think they are great for the price, however I have heard that the formulae/pigment is very dependent on the shade you choose. I was hoping that Peach Parfait would be a good dupe for 48# Evasion, but it's quite a lot darker than #48. However, it is in a similar vein with the whole peach/coral lip balm theme, so I do like it a lot.
Jewel By India R - Honey Bea Balm
This is my very own hand blended product from my up and coming lustrous lips collection. Honey Bea Balm is formulated with the highest graded pure bees wax, this provides a fabulous wax base for further lip product application. It's triple moisturising, and very good for protecting lips in need.

Thanks for reading dolls!

Longchamp Legende - Review

Hey Everyone,
I wanted to talk more about one of my most beautiful handbags ( That doesn't get the praise it deserves ) - Hope you enjoy the review, and feel free to comment below!. I managed to get this bag at a discounted price of £600.00 from John Lewis, however I do believe it retails for around £700.00/$1,200.

Sported by fashion icons such as Madonna, Claudia Schiffer, Olivia Palermo and Kate Moss, Légende is one of Longchamp’s star lines. Its models are among fashionistas’ favorite It-bags.

The dark bitter chocolate leather on this handbag is so incredibly plushy and soft, more so than any of my other bags. The hardware is like a Rose Gold, and it really compliments the darkness of the leather. This bag is also HUGE, it's literally like a Mary Poppins bag. It's quite reserved in comparison to handbags from designers like Louis Vuitton & Gucci, which I like as its nice to have a bag that exudes quality instead of just a name!.

I don't have any negatives for this handbag, other than the fact that it's so expandable and huge!. This makes me over pack it, and then it weighs a ton!!. However, I don't think there is a lot else wrong with this gorgeous leather handbag.

I haven't worn this bag much lately.. so the picture I have is rather old, I hope to start showing this bag some more love soon as it 100% deserves it.
