❤Urban Decay Primer Potion "Eden" Review ❤

Hi Lovelies!
Today I'm going to be reviewing a new favourite of mine which is the "Urban Decay Primer Potion" in the shade Eden. I also have the original primer, but this one has really been a wow product for me. I'm totally up for anything that's going to make my eye are look brighter, even and also help to keep my eyeshadow on all day long. If you have been reading my blog recently you might know that I have become just a little or maybe absolutely obsessed with Urban Decay haha. I normally use mostly Chanel makeup, but Urban Decay stays put on me all day long, which is absolutely amazing. This is going off the point a tiny bit, but yesterday I applied my Urban Decay NAKED foundation at around 10am and it stayed put even through a 45 minute intensive spinning class, all the way up to around 9.30 in the night when I took it off. I'm usually used to my foundation lasting 6 hours max. So, back on track now haha! I hope you like my review and if you have any questions please leave a comment below, or use my social media buttons to the right to contact me :D.

About ?
Urban Decay Primer Potions are huge in the beauty industry and are coveted by make-up artist and beauty junkies all over the world. The primer potions come in four variations and its designed to make your eye shadow last 24 hours crease free, as well as increasing the vibrancy of your shadows. The original formula dries clear and makes it a great option for everyday. However, the other formulas are designed to also work as eye shadows and highlighters.

What I  liked ?
Eden is a Yellow toned matte eyeshadow primer, which makes it great for correcting the area around your eyes. I absolutely love using it around my whole eye area and then blending it out, as it gives me a really lovely awaken look. If you have any darkness or discoloration around your eye area, then this would be a great solution. It's a matte primer which makes it really easy to work with and it also tones down some of those super glittery but beautiful UD shadows, which is useful if you want to use more vibrant shadows as part of an everyday look. I have been testing this primer out for over a week now and would definitely say it keeps my eyeshadow in place all day, but I haven't had a chance to wear it on a night out yet to try it for the 24 hours. However, I wore it from 10am-9.30pm  the same as my UD NAKED foundation, and my shadow was still in place. Its quite a thick texture which could actually be used as a concealer if you had the right skin tone to suit it, which I think makes this product super versatile.

What I don't like ?
Personally, I love this product as I suffer with a bit of darkness around my eye area. However, If you are quite Pink toned then the Yellow shade might be too strong for you, as the pigmentation is quite opaque. If you are neutral/warm I think it would be absolutely fine for you to use. Definitely use a little at a time with this product as its very pigmented and its quite easy to apply too much Yellow.

Overall ?
Another fantastic Urban Decay product for me, and overall I'm having so much fun discovering this brand. If you are looking for a shadow primer, highlighter, corrector and even a concealer then Eden would be perfect for you. However, if you are quite Pink toned this might not be for you and you might be suited to one of the other potions. Also, if you are quite dark skinned then this might be too light for you, but again you could choose another from the potion collection. This product has been a must have for me recently and I can see this staying in my make-up bag for quite a long time.

❤❤Limited Edition Poudre Signee De Chanel❤❤

Hi Beauties!
Today, I have a very requested post for you about the Limited Edition "Poudre Signee De Chanel" which was released this spring. Firstly, this is honestly one of the most beautiful and most intricate pieces of make-up I have ever seen. I love Chanel make-up and would say its probably what I own most in my collection, but seriously I couldn't wait to get my hands of this beauty. When I received it in the post, as you can probably imagine I was just looking at it for ages, because it really is that beautiful to look at! - I actually thought about not using this, but then realized that was totally stupid because this was not only very expensive, but its also a beautiful product to use. So, I decided to take the plunge today and do a review post on this gorgeous product.

Poudre Signee De Chanel is a sheer highlighting powder, which is beautifully embossed with all things Chanel. The powder is said to bring a look of freshness and vitality to the face with its delicate luminosity. The powder was released as a limited edition item for the Spring 2013 collections "Printemps Precieux De Chanel". In many places this powder has sold out, but it seems to still be available online at BOOTS - So, now I will get into the review :D

What I like ?
Firstly, the packaging for this product is the very luxurious classic Black casing with the beautiful Chanel logo imprinted in White. The packaging feels luxurious, especially with the gorgeous velour pouch that it comes with. When you open the product the beautiful embossed powder has a little plastic cover to protect the product, which I recommend keeping if you decide to buy this beauty. The product design is absolutely stunning and the embossed Chanel symbols make it a true limited edition piece. The powder is very finely milled and has really lovely pigmentation, which hopefully you can see from the images above. It is described as being a light Pink powder, but it definitely has the warmth of a beige/gold highlighter, which I think makes it quite versatile. This definitely isn't just a pretty product as its, versatile, pigmented, finely milled and long lasting. This also isn't a glitter ball product, but instead a product that leaves a beautiful rose/gold sheen on your skin.

What I don't like ?
This is a really beautiful product overall, but there are a few points that I wanted to mention. Firstly, this product is almost £50.00 which is really expensive, but you do get a lot of product and the product is also really good. I also don't really like the applicator sponge, it applies the product quite weirdly, but generally applicators that come with products aren't that good anyway.

Overall ?
Overall, this highlighter is absolutely beautiful and a must have if you are a Chanel fan, or someone who is on the look out for a lovely versatile highlighting powder. However, it is very expensive at almost £50.00, but you do get 8g of product, which is double a Chanel blush. I have been so happy with the results and it looks gorgeous however you wear it. I love putting it on the high points, as it really adds the perfect highlight without being too noticeable or not noticeable enough. It is definitely a mix of Pink and Gold tones, which I think will make this suitable to all skin tones. Also, if you find that cream/liquid highlighters don't hang around on you then I think this would be the perfect highlighter to splurge on.

I can't wait to hear what you think about this gorgeous product ?

❤Urban Decay Naked Skin Foundation❤

Hi Lovelies!
I'm back again with two posts in a row :D I have had this post written up for a day or so and couldn't wait to share it with you any longer haha. I have been really loving the brand Urban Decay lately, so you might be seeing a few UD reviews soon, it has also been a lot of fun trying out more of their well known products. I have been especially loving their NAKED foundation*, which has fast become my new favourite everyday foundation. Previously, I had always stuck by my Chanel and YSL foundations which are still among my favourites, but I have found that the NAKED foundation really works for me. Normally, after coming back from a day out my make-up would be a bit bleh and all over the place! but since using the NAKED foundation my make-up has stayed pretty much perfect all day long and even into the night.

About the foundation ?
(Urban Decay) Feels like wearing nothing, yet Naked Skin transforms your complexion. Skin looks natural, illuminated and bright with a luminous demi-matte finish: like the beautiful skin you were born with. This remarkable foundation is oil-free, paraben free and formulated with light-diffusing spheres that literally make you look professionally retouched. How does it work? Naked Skin uses optical blurring technology to blur your imperfections, making it the ultimate in ultra definition. This revolutionary makeup loads skin with a list of nourishing ingredients including: Matrixyl 3000 (a powerful anti-wrinkle peptide), protective and brightening Litchiderm, antioxidant Green Tea and Sodium Hyaluronate for optimal skin hydration and nutrient absorption. Buildable coverage allows women to customize their look and makeup preference: from light to full coverage.
 [Shade 4.5]

[ The amazing pump system ]

What I liked ?
I think the factor that wowed me most about this foundation was how my skin looked the same as it did in the night as it did when I first applied the foundation. The texture of the fluid is very light, which is great because a light coverage can be achieved, but this foundation can also be built all the way up to a full coverage. The foundations I have used previously have all been light wearing, but I feel that this foundation is a lot more versatile and doesn't leave me patchy like some of my other foundations do. The texture is more matte than I have previously been used too, but I actually think this works better for my combination skin.

I'm really impressed with how well this foundation airbrushes my skin with just one pump, but i'm even more impressed by its lasting power on my skin. I use one pump for my everyday look, which is what i'm wearing in the images below, but I would probably use two pumps on a night out. The packaging is also very nice and quite similar to the YSL Touche Eclat Foundation, but because its plastic its a lot lighter to travel with. Plus it has an amazing pump dispensing system which makes getting the product out an absolute dream.

The foundation comes in so many shades with the .5 shades being more suited to neutral cool toned complexions and the full numbers being suited to warmer complexions. I love a well thought out product and I feel like the Naked foundation is really universal and would suit a variety of skin types and needs.

What I didn't like ?
I can genuinely say that there isn't much to dislike for me when it comes to this foundation, as it stays put and makes my skin look and feel flawless. However, I always think that its important to try and get a sample before hand, as each persons skin preferences can be completely different. Always do your research and check other reviews out online, as this can really help you understand the product more from a few people's point of view.

Overall ?
I think if you are like me and have skin that is combination/oily but you want a foundation that can achieve a light coverage all the way to a full coverage then this might be the foundation for you. Its very good at airbrushing/blurring imperfections, but keeping the complexion looking natural and fresh. It has some lovely ingredients, as well as having no parabens which is a huge bonus. Overall, I'm extremely pleased with this foundation and I haven't had any issues with breakouts either :)

I also have the NAKED Beauty Balm on its way, so I will also be posting about that soon. I would love to know what you think about this foundation ? - Will you be trying it soon ?

ღ❤Updated Hair Care Post❤ღ

Hi Beauties!
I have been highly requested to do an updated hair care post via twitter and my blog, so I thought it would be a good time to do this post and hopefully it will be helpful to you. I also wanted to say a huge thank you to the people who posted such lovely comments on my Enrapture Curls Post, as well as the many lovely tweets I have had about my hair. I really appreciate you all being so lovely, so I just wanted to take the time thank you all before I get on with the post :D - I was literally born with a full head of hair and by the time I was around three I had long hair. I know I'm lucky to have long thick hair, so I hope that my hair care routine will be able to help you out a little. My hair is very long and thick, but it does get quite greasy at the roots and quite dry at the ends, so sometimes it is quite hard to look after. Recently, I have been using some new products and feel that my hair is in pretty good condition at the moment :D

I also wanted to take the time to thank the lovely Felicity from "Pursuit Of Felicity" for helping me to tidy up my layout a bit. I felt like my sidebar was a bit cluttered and I'm so happy with the results and changes she has made. I would really recommend her services, as she is so lovely and always very helpful. I would love to know what you think about my updated layout and I hope you all really like it :D - So, now I will get on with my hair care routine.
Shampoo and Conditioner - Bargain Alert !
Previously, I have used shampoo's and conditioners from Kerastase, L'Oreal, Aussie and Pantene and have never really been 100% happy. However, I have recently been using Timotei Pure Shampoo and Conditioner which is currently on sale for an amazing £1 each! from supermarkets (I found mine in ASDA) The shampoo and conditioner are free from, paraben's, silicone's and colorants. The shampoo and conditioner are great for normal/greasy hair and are infused with organic Green Tea which makes the hair feel extremely clean after use. The conditioner also leaves my hair feeling amazing and it also has more of a lemon smell which makes it really refreshing to use. I love my current shampoo & conditioner as I can combat greasy hair and dry ends all in one and for an amazing £2!
Recently, I have been using some products from the John Freida full repair range* and I have also really been liking them. I have found that using them around twice a week has really helped to condition my hair and especially the mid-low lengths. I will be doing separate reviews of these products, so if you would like to see a more in-depth review of any of these products, please just leave me a comment below :D

John Freida Root Lift Foam - I was very skeptical about putting product on my roots, as they are very prone to getting greasy. However, I was really surprised that after using this my hair did not become greasy any quicker than it normally would, plus I did notice some more volume after using this product.

John Freida Deep Conditioner - This is my favourite product and I have really noticed the quality of my hair from mid-low lengths in comparison to when I wasn't using it.

John Freida Perfect Ends - I have been using this on towel dried hair and have found my ends to be a lot of shiny and healthy looking, in comparison to them being very dry and sometimes frizzy.

I'm also using Clynol Wonder 10 as another treatment and my post can be found HERE

Styling Products
Recently, I have been styling my hair a little more thanks to the lovely results I saw from using the Enrapture totem barrel. I can create so many different curls and I can also create a real quick 10-15 minute look, which is great for when you don't have time to curl your hair properly, If you would like to see the post click Here. I have also been using the OSIS +* flatiner hair protector which has helped to protect my hair from when I have been using heat. I also use my Batiste dry shampoo to either help freshen my hair up, but also to add an extra bit of volume when I need it. I don't tend to use hairspray that much, but when I do I always opt for Pantene's flexible hold which I find to be light and not sticky.
My personal tips and tricks
- Use minimal or no heat at all, If you do have to use heat then make sure your protector is good!
- I hardly ever use a hair dry my hair! I find that towel drying it and putting it up in a bun really helps to create natural movement.
- My mum has recently started taking pure collagen which has thickened and her hair so much its unreal, and she has noticed some growth! - You can find this for a decent price from Holland and Barrett, they also do this product which is more specific to helping your hair condition (click here)
- I personally haven't used it but a few people have said that the Lee Stafford Hair Growth products are quite good. I don't believe this is a miracle product, but I do think it would help your hair grow overtime due to its protein base.

I hope this post has helped you out a little :) if you have anymore questions please comment below or tweet @jewelbeautyblog for a quicker answer :D - Also leave your tips and tricks if you have any for others to see  as well :)

Urban Decay - ❤NAKED BASICS❤

Hi Lovelies!
Recently, I caved into the hype and decided to purchase the Urban Decay Naked Basics palette for myself. I have the other two palettes and part of me did think do I need this ? but then the beauty junkie part of me said GO for it haha! - I must admit I 100% made the right choice in purchasing this palette, as its perfect to travel with and you can create some great everyday looks with this dinky palette. I'm not the most experimental with eye looks, so as you can imagine I am a huge fan of the Naked palletes, as they are so neutral but beautiful at the same time. I have been using my Naked palette for a little while now and thought it would be a good idea to share with you my thoughts on this cute beauty product!

Venus - Soft off White (Semi Matte)
Foxy - Light Yellow Matte
W.O.S - Light Pink/Beige Matte
Naked 2 - Mid Taupe Matte
Faint - Warm Brown Matte
Crave - Black/Brown Matte

What I like ?
I think this is the perfect palette for everyday use out of all three, as the matte shades make it not just good for general daily use, but also for work/college etc. The shade range is lovely, as the lightest shade Venus could be used as a highlight/inner corner shade. Foxy is Yellow toned, which makes it good for correcting any discoloration on your lids, then you are left with 4 lovely light, medium and dark shades which allow you to create your desired look with ease. The texture is also lovely and I have to say that Urban Decay are miles ahead of any other brands I own in terms of quality and value (in their palettes). The palettes contain full size shadows, which really makes any of the NAKED palettes really good value for money. The pigmentation is lovely and very buildable, it was only W.O.S that was a bit harder to build up on my skin tone.

What I didn't like ?
I can honestly say that this palette is a little gem and I would really recommend it. For £20.00 you get six amazing and versatile shades, which I think is good value. The only thing I would say is that if you have the other palettes then this one probably isn't a must.

Overall Thoughts ?
If you are looking for a versatile palette, which is good for everyday use then the basics is probably the one you need in your life. It's extremely travel friendly with a pretty good mirror as well, which again is a bonus. The only reason I wouldn't recommend this would be because you could probably live without it if you have the other palettes. However, I have the three palettes and love this one for travelling with and everyday use. I prefer to use the other two for more special occasions, as they have some beautiful shimmery shades.

I would love to know what you think about the Basics palette and Naked 1 & 2 ?

ღ❤HAUL❤ღ Chanel//Urban Decay//Benefit Cosmetics

Hi Beauties!
Today, I have a little beauty related haul for you :D - I have been doing a mixture of online shopping and a bit of shopping in store, so I thought I would bring you part one of my Haul. I always go a little make-up crazy in the Spring and Summer because the collections are always so beautiful. I didn't end up getting quite as much as I wanted from shopping yesterday, one because Debenhams was really badly stocked! and two my boyfriend always tells me "oh you have something like that at home" haha which is annoying! but also good because then I don't spend as much on make-up. Well, I will stop the blabbing now haha! and will get into some goodies I have picked up recently. I will also be doing full reviews on these products in the coming weeks, so make sure you keep an eye out!. One last thing haha, I'm at my boyfriends house and seriously the lighting and places to take pictures are extremely limited, so I had to try and improvise a little with this post! :)

Poudre Signee de Chanel Illuminating Powder
When I seen this beautiful Illuminating Powder by Chanel I knew that I wouldn't be able to resist it for long! - I have used Chanel make-up for years now and have become a little bit of a collector and anything Limited Edition usually screams buy me haha!! - I went to buy it on Debenhams, but I couldn't believe it when they had sold out, so I was glad that Boots saved the day and had this stunner in stock!.

Benefit Fine One One
Benefit and Chanel are my two favourite make-up brands and when I seen Fine one one it was another instant must have! - The packaging was great (as usual with benefit) and the product is just beautiful for summer, as it has a highlighter and two blush shades combined into one!.

Urban Decay Naked Basics
Wahoo! I have the three palettes now and I must admit this one might just be my favourite (but its still early days yet) I'm seriously loving how portable it is, and also the shades are so perfect for everyday use. I have gone a bit Urban Decay Cray at the moment and have some fun UD posts coming soon!

Urban Decay Eden Primer Potion
I must admit I'm not a huge eyeshadow person, so my original primer potion was enough for me! - but this year I have decided to be a bit more experimental with eyeshadow's and couldn't wait to get my hands on a new primer potion. I'm in love with this one and I will definitely get back to you with a review!

Chanel Soleil Tan De Chanel Bronzing Base
This might sound a little crazy but this product is my actual baby! I love it so much and when I recently lost my other one I was devastated and knew I had to replace it quick. I have looked all over the house for it and can't find it :( but If I do end up finding it soon then I will have 2 and that will be even more amazing! - You can probably tell I'm in love with this product as I just called it my "baby" haha so weird I know! but on a more serious note this product is so lovely and I might do an updated review or bronzing tutorial for Spring/Summer.

[I thought I would include a cheeky preview of some of the products :D]

So that was my first installment of my haul as I have some other things coming in the post! - I was going to buy some LUSH goodies today, but I didn't get around to it! so I might have a LUSH related post coming soon as well, seriously I have so many ideas at the moment. I was thinking about a relaxation post, hair care post and a few more hauls... ahh loads of ideas :) - let me know what you think ?

❤ღElemis FreshSkin "Tired Eyes" Reviewღ❤

Hi Lovelies!
Today, I have a review on a product that seems to have very mixed reviews around the blogosphere and the internet in general. I couldn't wait to try it out and see what I really thought about this product. I know that eye creams/gels can cause a bit of suspicion, as many people think is it going to work ? which is completely a natural reaction when you are spending £15.00 plus on trying to sort your under eye problems out. So, recently I have been trying out the Elemis FreshSkin Tired Eyes Gel* out and wanted to let you know what I really think about this product.

If you know me and my blog then you might already know that all of my jobs require me spending a huge amount of time on my laptop and this can seriously put a strain on my eyes. I get anything from sore/tired eyes to serious headaches that can last for hours. I have to use the computer for my business and management degree, my business is online, my blog and I also intern for a Jewellery designer which involves a lot of online work *ouch sore eyes*. So, I hope that this review is useful to you lovelies, as I know many of you probably have to spend a lot of time on the computer too!
What I liked ?
The Elemis Tired Eyes Gel has some nice ingredients such as, Aloe Vera and Butchers Broom. Both key ingredients are good for soothing and reducing inflammation and I believe that Butchers Broom might even help to reduce Dark Circles. The Gel also has Glycerine within it and this helps to hydrate the skin under the eyes, as well as being a great ingredient for people with sensitive eyes. I have found this eye gel to be a real savior for my tired eyes, which I think makes the name of the product very accurate. It's the kind of product that can be used throughout the day to help cool your eyes and ease any soreness. I find gently tapping in around my eye area really revitalizes me and makes me able to carry on with my work at the computer.

What I didn't like ?
The Elemis Fresh Skin Range is really fantastic, but I do think that £15.00 is quite expensive for this eye-gel, but if you do suffer with tired eyes then it could be worth it. I do feel that it does reduce the feeling of tired, sore and strained eyes, but I do think the price point is just a little high for this product. I also feel that if you are looking for an eye-cream that reduces dark circles then this might not be for you, as its aimed more towards puffy/tired eyes.
Overall ?
If you are like me and suffer with tired eyes from computer use and lack of sleep then this actually might be a great product for you. I really like how I can apply it throughout the day and it really does offer me that very much needed revitalization. However, if you want something to help with Dark Circles then this might not be enough for you and the price might be a little high. Overall, from a personal point of view I would re purchase this product again because it does help to keep my eyes feeling fresher for longer.

I would love to know what you think about this product, or if there are any eye care products you would like to try?
