A Mountainous Sunday Walk

Hi Lovelies!
Well this Is unusual.. I'm blogging on my ipad for the first time ever! I literally have no idea how this is going to turn out.. and even though it's not quite as efficient as on my laptop, I need to try and make it work until my Internet gets connected. Basically, I purchased this EE wifi box but it's only powerful enough to power my phone and ipad.. Mine and Daniel's Macs have no chance ha! So, instead of taking Sunday as it comes and relaxing me, Daniel, my sister and her partner decided to quite impulsively climb one of the famous Monmouthshire mountains, also known as the Skirrid Fawr. Me and my sister didn't quite make the summit, as she has a huge fear of heights and there were a few more sudden drops than she expected. I decided to stay with her and let the boys climb to the summit, as I wasn't too fussed on falling over in the mud haha! We decided to enjoy the scenery from where we were, which I'm glad as we did make it quite high and we had loads of laughs, whilst making friends with many passers by! My sister said that I looked more prepared for the alps than a crisp welsh walk which made me laugh! You can probably tell I'm not a mountain walker from this post, but hey! I gave it a go. I thought I would include a OOTD and a what's In my bag, which was far from a traditional hiking backpack! Anyway, I hope you enjoy this post lovelies and I would love to hear from you in the comments section down below.
I thought I would go ahead and include a quick OOTD, as well as showing you my beauty essentials for mountain walking haha!! Can you tell I don't do this very often?

Under Layer's: Nike & Abercrombie
Coat: North Face Thermoball Coat
Trousers: Thick River Island Leggings
Shoes: Asics
Handbag: Versace Crossbody
Scarf: Burberry
Sunglasses: Prada

I decided to take a few beauty bits with me, as there was a chance we would be popping to town after the walk.. which never actually happened, but hey I was prepared for a beauty dilemma half way up a mountain! Firstly, my Benefit POREfessional found its way in there as it was already in my bag from another day. I also took my Bobbi Brown Touch Up Foundation Stick, which is all in the name! It's great for quick touch ups and it doubles up as a great concealer too. I seem to never be without one of my all time faves, which are my Chanel Rouge Coco Shines and the shade I had was Secret, which is a beautiful muted Pink. Now onto what you might class as more mountain appropriate! I made sure I packed my Honey Bee Beautiful Healing Balm, which is fantastic for any sore, dry and generally uncomfortable area's on your body, which can definitely be a problem when walking long distances. I also took my Honey Bee Beautiful Lip Balm and LUSH Helping Hand's Hand Cream, as recently both my lips and hands have been very dry and uncomfortable. I also packed a few lindt chocolate balls, just incase anyone needed a sugar kick, which definitley came in handy! Overall, I had a fantastic day and it was extremely humorous at times, especially with my sister telling me I should be in the alps and not walking up a muddy mountain. I hope you have enjoyed this slightly random post and I will be back very soon with an exciting post, which I think you lovelies will really enjoy!

I would love to hear from you in the comments section below, do you have any Sunday traditions?

S.Wales Gift Guide|Part 2|Petals of the Valley Welsh Rosewater❤

Hi Lovelies!
Wow where have I been? I'm still facing problems with getting my Internet connected at the new place.. so I hope you can bare with me whilst I'm figuring things out. BT are like the most impossible people ever and because I live in the countryside, they are the only real provider that can connect me to the Internet. Everything seems like a little bit of a nightmare at the moment, especially with uni work as I can't get Internet boohoo! but I'm hoping they will get a move on soon so I can get back into blogging and start writing my long list of blog ideas! Moving on from my little ramble haha I'm going to be posting another fantastic brand from my South Wales Gift Guide today, so I hope you enjoy finding out more about what South Wales has to offer! I have actually been using this product for just over two weeks, so hopefully it will show you what a lovely gift the Petals of the Valley Welsh Rosewater would make! I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments section down below and if you would like to get in contact, then don't hesitate to use my social media icons just to the right hand side of my blog :)
 About Petal's of the Valley
The Monnow Valley, near Skenfrith, Monmouthshire is home to Petals of the Valley. Denise and Desdemona grow fragrant roses and companion plants, which help to create their beautifully unique Welsh Rosewater. Petals of the Valley use their own pure spring water and highly fragrant Rosa Damascena roses grown on their Monmouthsire based farm. The Organic Welsh Rosewater created by Petals of the Valley contains no preservatives and the roses are steam distilled once, unlike industrially produced rosewater which can be distilled up to 7 times! If that's not enough then the Rosewater from Petals of the Valley's is believed to be first Rosewater in the UK to be approved as a food ingredient, which is pretty impressive! I'm sure you beauty lover's already know how amazing Rosewater is as a beauty product, and is used in many cleanser's, serums, moisturisers, lip balms and more! It's fantastic for skin ranging from sensitive and mature to Young and acne prone, which definitely makes it a little miracle worker!
You might have seen me recently feature the Petals of the Valley Welsh Rosewater in my "Evening Skincare Routine" and it has definitely been a regular feature in my recent skincare regime. I have used Rose products for quite some time now, but this is the first time I have used Rosewater in its purest form and I must admit I'm loving it! I tend to spritz the Petals of the Valley Rosewater over my face just after cleansing or just before bed. I can't even describe how beautiful and natural it smells, which makes it even nicer to use! I also love how it makes my skin feel soothed and relaxed. Rose is well known for not only being moisturizing, but also being a great acne treatment! A few weeks back my skin was getting quite bad with those horrible under the skin type of spots. However, since using this product my skin has started to gain its luminosity back, with no sign of any pesky spots!
Overall, I'm really impressed with the Welsh Rosewater from Petals of the Valley and I can 100% confirm it has become a staple in my evening skincare routine. I love how the gift set is packaged and I honestly think this would make one of the nicest stocking fillers or even a little treat to yourself! Its such a versastile gift and could also work as a great birthday/mother's day treat too. So much thought and hard work has gone into this product and its benefits seem endless. So why not treat a beauty lover (or yourself) to some beautifully natural Welsh Rosewater? FYI this product can also be used as a food ingredient and the Petals of the Valley website is full of useful information on how to get the best out of your Rosewater! I hope you have enjoyed this post lovelies and hopefully I will be back soon with part three of the S.Wales Gift Guide :)

South Wales Gift Guide|Part 1| Honey Bee Beautiful ❅

Hi lovelies!
Long time no speak! I have been moving house and for me that usually consists of having no Internet for quite a while! My dad is always busy developing new properties and I'm lucky enough to get to live in some of them! But it definitely doesn't come without its stresses, so it's nice to finally say I'm back!! It's actually been quite nice having some time away from the Internet and I feel refreshed and ready to get back into blogging. I have had some pretty exciting news regarding my blog, but I'm confirming a few things before I share the good news in the new year! Before I go off on a ramble I will introduce today's post! I have lived in South Wales all my life and have been lucky enough to live amongst the beautiful Monmouthshire countryside. I wanted to do a gift guide with a difference and have been collaborating with some fantastic welsh brands to create my South Wales Christmas Gift Guide! Honey Bee Beautiful Lavender & Bergamot Face Cream £12.50
The Honey Bee Beautiful Face Creams come in two variations’ that are suitable for dryer and oilier skin types. I opted for the Lavender Face Cream, as I tend to be normal-combination in my skin type. I have been using The Lavender and Bergamot Face Cream in the evening and have been waking up with soothed and far less irritated skin. Lavender is well known for its anti-blemish properties and the combination of honey and beeswax make this an extremely moisturising and soothing face cream, perfect for Winter!

Honey Bee Beautiful Lavender & Lime Hand Cream £10.95
Like the Face Cream you can also get the Hand Cream in different variations’ which is useful, especially if you like a particular scent more than another! I have been using the hand cream for around a week now and I have been really impressed by how quickly it sinks in, but more importantly how well it has nourished my hands! I have been busy moving the past few weeks, so it has really eased my sore and tired hands. I think this would make a great little stocking filler, as handcreams are perfect for sore wintery hands!
photo IMG_1860_zps0959e5d7.jpg Honey Bee Beautiful Gift Basket £20.00
The Honey Bee Beautiful Gift Box is beautifully presented in a card box with an extremely cute tag which says “It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas” I think this little touch is very thoughtful and makes it a great gift to give someone at Christmas Time. You get a great range of products, which are sure to help keep your skin moisturised and soothed throughout the harsh winter months! This would make a great gift for a friend, sister, mum, auntie, girlfriend or anyone who loves natural beauty!

What do you get?
-       Honey Bee Beautiful Healing Balm
-       Honey Bee Beautiful Beeswax Lip Balm
-       Honey Bee Beautiful Handmade Soap

I would 100% recommend Honey Bee Beautiful for their natural and very thoughtful approach to skincare! I think that the Gift Basket is a great way to try the brand out and you get a fantastic selection of products, which are all extremely useful! I have always supported natural skincare, as I used to make lip balms myself and knowing that a product has been handmade is definitely rewarding! I hope you have enjoyed Part 1 of my South Wales Gift Guide and I will be back soon with Part 2 in the next few days. I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments section below! If you would like to hear more about the products in this post, or perhaps see a few individual reviews.. please let me know below :)

Evening Skincare Routine❤

Hi Lovelies!
Hope you are all doing well? I must admit today as been one hell of a day and has involved everything from filming a Yeti ice skating to making a reindeer decoration from a pine cone mixed in with some more serious stuff of course.. That's the life of a digital marketing assistant haha! It feels pretty good to be sat down just chilling out and doing what I love most... but I'm actually moving this weekend so I wanted to get a post up, as I know I'm going to have some Internet problems for around a week. My parent's have just finished developing another property, but we have had to fully connect water and electric... so as you can imagine its been a pretty timely project. BT are never much fun to get hold of either, so I hope my Internet connection is up real soon so I can get back to blogging. I wanted to post about my current evening skincare routine, as I'm sure some of my long time readers will know... I love me some skincare!! I hope you enjoy tonight's post lovelies and I would love to hear from you in the comments section down below. You can also contact me via my Social Media icons just to the right hand side of my blog! I have some pretty exciting posts heading your way throughout December, so I hope I can get my Internet sorted just in time :)
Evening Skincare Routine

In the evening I love to opt for a cleansing balm as there is something so luxurious about laying back in the bath with a beautiful cleansing balm not only cleansing your skin, but also acting as a face mask! My favourite cleansing balm is the Amazing Face Morigna Cleansing Balm by Emma Hardie and I'm officially on my third pot now.

After cleansing I always tone using my trusty Elemis Soothing Apricot Toner, which is also a third favourite of mine. I think I'm on my sixth bottle and after using other toner's I have always gone back to this one. Even if my cleanser hasn't removed all my make-up I can rely on this as the final step in my cleansing routine.. plus its also gentle enough to use around the eye area.

Once I have finished with my toner I then move onto another hero product for me, which is my Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair || I honestly can't get enough of this product, as it truly renews my skin and makes me feel like I've had a good sleep... which is pretty good as I suffer with mild insomnia. Serum's are designed to penetrate the deepest layers of the skins dermis, which is something a moisturiser can't do.. so I always make sure I use this in my evening routine.

After using my Estee Lauder Serum I then apply my Origins Eye Doctor Eye Cream which is literally the most hassle free eye cream ever. I love how it is just designed to keep your eye area nourished instead of having unrealistic claims like a lot of eye creams do!

Once I have taken care of my eyes I then move onto one of the final stages of my routine which is moisturising. I have been using the Origins Make A Difference Plus Rejuvenating Treatment for over a year now and nothing has rivalled it in my opinion. I'm a huge fan of its cream-gel formulae as its hydrating without being greasy, which makes it perfect for both morning and night use.

Finally, I have a new treat which I have added to my evening skincare routine and that is the Petal's of The Valley Welsh Rose water, which I use as a before bed treat to help moisturise and tone my skin throughout the night.

I hope you have enjoyed this post lovelies and I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments section below! Also a big hello if you are a new reader :D

JADE By Yardley London Review ❤

Hi Lovelies,
Hope you are all doing really well and have had a good weekend so far? I'm preparing to go back to work after a lovely 12 day's off from work and I must admit I'm suffering from Barcelona Blues! Just to think this time last week I was enjoying the beautiful Christmas lights and a delicious meal! but never mind! I'm actually quite looking forward to going back to work, as our Christmas Kingdom at the hotel looks ahhmazing from the picture's I have seen. Talking about Winter Blues, today's review is about a lovely new perfume I have been trying out called "Jade" which is by the icon Yardley London Brand. If your not so sure about the brand then Yardley is a famous purveyor of luxury fragrances and soaps, which was founded in 1770. Twiggy was also the face of Yardley and the 60's is definitely the inspiration behind this fragrance... so before I give too much away I will stop rambling and let you read the review below! I would love to hear from you, as your comments truly make my day! Your also more than welcome to get in contact with me via my social media, which can be found just to the right hand side of my blog :)
Jade by Yardley London Review
Over the past few weeks I have been trying out the lovely "Jade" fragrance by Yardley London, so I thought I would post a review for my readers on my thoughts about the perfume itself. Jade is a retro-inspired fragrance that captures the spirit of the 60's and has top notes of peach, bergamot and galbanum blend with an airy floral bouquet heart of rose, jasmine, ylang-ylang and orris, which makes it a very fruity fragrance, but the thing I love most about this perfume is the way it settles down to be quite aromatic with base notes of patchouli, sandalwood and moss. Jade is a hugely versatile fragrance, which I initially thought would be suited to mostly the Spring and Summer. However, I have been wearing it pretty much everyday and its base notes really do come out and therefore make it perfect for Autumn/Winter too! Jade retails at £19.99 but at the moment it is on special offer for £13.33, which might make it a nice Christmas gift or stocking filler if your stuck for ideas!

The fragrance was inspired by "Sea Jade" which was on of Yardley's first ever fragrances released in the 1960's. The 1960's was a very exciting time with the brand, with the likes of Twiggy fronting Yardley campaigns. Being a 90's gal I spoke to my mum more about the 60's and it was great to hear some more about what it was like in the 60s... I must admit it sounded pretty fun :D I love how Yardley have put so much thought into creating a fragrance that really embodies their brand and of course creating a scent inspired by the 60s and its many icons is always a good idea! I'm obsessed with Icons such as Audrey Hepbrun, Twiggy, Jane Birkin and Jackie O just to name a few!

I have added a link to the video of the "Jade" Campaign below, which was so interesting to watch and I would highly recommend you checking it out, if you like behind the scenes footage like myself :)

I hope you have enjoyed this review lovelies and I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments section below :)

Barcelona - Grand Central Hotel & OOTN❤

Hi Lovelies!
Tonight I'm back with a review of one of the lovely hotel's we stayed at in Barcelona! I have a few separate reviews and ottn posts, which will be going live over the next few weeks, so I hope you enjoy this post lovelies and don't forget to leave your links and thoughts in the comments section!
We arrived at The Grand Central Hotel located in the Gothic part of Barcelona on Thursday evening. After a flight it's always nice to kick your shoes off and get settled into your hotel, so we were over the moon to find out we had a complimentary room upgrade. Our room was absolutely fantastic and had a dream bathroom for a beauty blogger! Everything was very spacious and clean, which I think are the two main things I look for when staying at a nice hotel. I did take some pictures of the room, but they didn't turn out great so here is the link to take a peak for yourself! The Grand Central Hotel is deserving of every single one of its five stars, as our stay was enjoyable from start to finish. The highlight was definitely going to the rooftop terrace, where we were greeted with a beautiful infinity style mood lit pool and a very spacious area to enjoy drinks and food. The bar does close from November throughout the Christmas period, but the hotel still allows you to enjoy time up there with drinks if you wish! At this time I definitely wished I had got more used to my Canon 700d DSLR, but I did my best to try and capture some good picture's of the roof top terrace for you to see! We also enjoyed some drinks in the "City Bar" which had a very relaxed and cool atmosphere. I could have sat there all night enjoying the chilled out music and beautifully made cocktails. I have included  a picture of me and Daniel with our OOTN's for our night out at the City Bar.. I can't believe I finally had permission from Daniel to let me put him on my blog haha! I would love to hear from you down in the comments section lovelies, as it makes my day to hear from my lovely readers!

LIFESTYLE| Barcelona Picture Post ❤

Hi Lovelies
Well I’m pretty sad to say that I’m back from beautiful Barcelona and I have officially swapped the lovely 19-degree Catalan November climate for icy windscreens back in Wales. I honestly can’t even describe how much I needed this break away and to spend it with Daniel was amazing. We both have pretty hectic jobs (that we enjoy) but still it feels like we are always tired all the time, so this break away was just what we needed! I thought I would go ahead and upload some snaps from Barcelona where we stayed in two beautiful hotel's and enjoyed plenty of shopping, sight seeing and we went to watch the football for the second time, which is definitely Daniel's part of the holiday haha! but I must admit I did enjoy the atmosphere and its a great place to visit.. especially if your travelling with a football loving boy like Daniel:) I think I have about 500 snaps to go through on my camera and I also have some individual reviews and outfit posts coming to the blog soon, so I thought I would just pick some of my favourites for today's post. I hope you enjoy reading this lovelies and I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments section down below. If you would like to get in contact then don't hesitate to use my Social Media just to the right hand side of my blog :)

#MyCelticXmas Blogger Event ☆

Hi Lovelies,
I don’t even know where to start with this post, but its pretty much one of the most exciting posts I have ever written. I'm actually off to Barcelona tomorrow for a much needed break with Daniel, so as you can imagine I'm having a few suitcase dilema's tonight haha! I'm off for 5 days and can't wait to put my new Canon 700d to work on the beautiful architecure in Barcelona! But before I go off on a total ramble I will continue with tonights post :D I am still so happy about hosting my first ever blog event at The Celtic Manor a few days ago alongside the lovely Jess who is the Celtic Manor's digital officer. You might have already seen some posts about it if you follow me on Twitter and Facebook, but If not I will link all the blogs below who attended the event. Since joining the marketing team at The Celtic Manor as “digital marketing assistant” I have been really focused on developing the new blog and also looking at the idea of hosting a blog event. It’s such a fantastic hotel and literally is the perfect place for any kind of event, as it’s so diverse and accommodating. After a few meetings with my colleague Jess I put together a proposal to present to management to discuss. When I found out that the event was okay to go ahead with I felt such a sense of achievement. I have lacked in confidence for too long now, which is a shame as I used to be really confident.. but this was just what I needed to give me a boost and something to look forward too. Blogging for me has been such an emotional and rewarding experience and I’m so proud of my little old blog! It reminds me that I am capable and how determined I can be when I put my mind to it. I couldn't have been happier with how the day turned out, so I thought I would show you some picture's from the day!
The day started off with me welcoming the blogger's and offering them a drink of their choice. Once the private dining room in the Olive Tree Restaurant was ready, I took the blogger's down to be greeted by a glass of champagne, which was well received. After the blogger's were seated Jess and I gave a small presentation on the new blog and resort, which was followed by a talk from our fantastic pastry chef Karl who spoke about the inspiration behind the Afternoon Tea. Needless to say many tasty festive treats followed from afternoon tea to delicious warm candied citrus peel and gingerbread spiced scones. Once the event began my nerves soon went away and it was great to enjoy the company of some lovely bloggers at a lovely venue! The Christmas Afternoon Tea is absolutely delicious and I completely recommend it as a treat for you, your loved ones and even as a gift too! So here is to one of many blogger events to come at the Celtic Manor Resort :D I would also love to hear your thoughts in the comments section down below and of course leave your link if you would like to be added to the Celtic Manor blogging list!
