JADE By Yardley London Review ❤

Hi Lovelies,
Hope you are all doing really well and have had a good weekend so far? I'm preparing to go back to work after a lovely 12 day's off from work and I must admit I'm suffering from Barcelona Blues! Just to think this time last week I was enjoying the beautiful Christmas lights and a delicious meal! but never mind! I'm actually quite looking forward to going back to work, as our Christmas Kingdom at the hotel looks ahhmazing from the picture's I have seen. Talking about Winter Blues, today's review is about a lovely new perfume I have been trying out called "Jade" which is by the icon Yardley London Brand. If your not so sure about the brand then Yardley is a famous purveyor of luxury fragrances and soaps, which was founded in 1770. Twiggy was also the face of Yardley and the 60's is definitely the inspiration behind this fragrance... so before I give too much away I will stop rambling and let you read the review below! I would love to hear from you, as your comments truly make my day! Your also more than welcome to get in contact with me via my social media, which can be found just to the right hand side of my blog :)
Jade by Yardley London Review
Over the past few weeks I have been trying out the lovely "Jade" fragrance by Yardley London, so I thought I would post a review for my readers on my thoughts about the perfume itself. Jade is a retro-inspired fragrance that captures the spirit of the 60's and has top notes of peach, bergamot and galbanum blend with an airy floral bouquet heart of rose, jasmine, ylang-ylang and orris, which makes it a very fruity fragrance, but the thing I love most about this perfume is the way it settles down to be quite aromatic with base notes of patchouli, sandalwood and moss. Jade is a hugely versatile fragrance, which I initially thought would be suited to mostly the Spring and Summer. However, I have been wearing it pretty much everyday and its base notes really do come out and therefore make it perfect for Autumn/Winter too! Jade retails at £19.99 but at the moment it is on special offer for £13.33, which might make it a nice Christmas gift or stocking filler if your stuck for ideas!

The fragrance was inspired by "Sea Jade" which was on of Yardley's first ever fragrances released in the 1960's. The 1960's was a very exciting time with the brand, with the likes of Twiggy fronting Yardley campaigns. Being a 90's gal I spoke to my mum more about the 60's and it was great to hear some more about what it was like in the 60s... I must admit it sounded pretty fun :D I love how Yardley have put so much thought into creating a fragrance that really embodies their brand and of course creating a scent inspired by the 60s and its many icons is always a good idea! I'm obsessed with Icons such as Audrey Hepbrun, Twiggy, Jane Birkin and Jackie O just to name a few!

I have added a link to the video of the "Jade" Campaign below, which was so interesting to watch and I would highly recommend you checking it out, if you like behind the scenes footage like myself :)

I hope you have enjoyed this review lovelies and I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments section below :)

Barcelona - Grand Central Hotel & OOTN❤

Hi Lovelies!
Tonight I'm back with a review of one of the lovely hotel's we stayed at in Barcelona! I have a few separate reviews and ottn posts, which will be going live over the next few weeks, so I hope you enjoy this post lovelies and don't forget to leave your links and thoughts in the comments section!
We arrived at The Grand Central Hotel located in the Gothic part of Barcelona on Thursday evening. After a flight it's always nice to kick your shoes off and get settled into your hotel, so we were over the moon to find out we had a complimentary room upgrade. Our room was absolutely fantastic and had a dream bathroom for a beauty blogger! Everything was very spacious and clean, which I think are the two main things I look for when staying at a nice hotel. I did take some pictures of the room, but they didn't turn out great so here is the link to take a peak for yourself! The Grand Central Hotel is deserving of every single one of its five stars, as our stay was enjoyable from start to finish. The highlight was definitely going to the rooftop terrace, where we were greeted with a beautiful infinity style mood lit pool and a very spacious area to enjoy drinks and food. The bar does close from November throughout the Christmas period, but the hotel still allows you to enjoy time up there with drinks if you wish! At this time I definitely wished I had got more used to my Canon 700d DSLR, but I did my best to try and capture some good picture's of the roof top terrace for you to see! We also enjoyed some drinks in the "City Bar" which had a very relaxed and cool atmosphere. I could have sat there all night enjoying the chilled out music and beautifully made cocktails. I have included  a picture of me and Daniel with our OOTN's for our night out at the City Bar.. I can't believe I finally had permission from Daniel to let me put him on my blog haha! I would love to hear from you down in the comments section lovelies, as it makes my day to hear from my lovely readers!

LIFESTYLE| Barcelona Picture Post ❤

Hi Lovelies
Well I’m pretty sad to say that I’m back from beautiful Barcelona and I have officially swapped the lovely 19-degree Catalan November climate for icy windscreens back in Wales. I honestly can’t even describe how much I needed this break away and to spend it with Daniel was amazing. We both have pretty hectic jobs (that we enjoy) but still it feels like we are always tired all the time, so this break away was just what we needed! I thought I would go ahead and upload some snaps from Barcelona where we stayed in two beautiful hotel's and enjoyed plenty of shopping, sight seeing and we went to watch the football for the second time, which is definitely Daniel's part of the holiday haha! but I must admit I did enjoy the atmosphere and its a great place to visit.. especially if your travelling with a football loving boy like Daniel:) I think I have about 500 snaps to go through on my camera and I also have some individual reviews and outfit posts coming to the blog soon, so I thought I would just pick some of my favourites for today's post. I hope you enjoy reading this lovelies and I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments section down below. If you would like to get in contact then don't hesitate to use my Social Media just to the right hand side of my blog :)

#MyCelticXmas Blogger Event ☆

Hi Lovelies,
I don’t even know where to start with this post, but its pretty much one of the most exciting posts I have ever written. I'm actually off to Barcelona tomorrow for a much needed break with Daniel, so as you can imagine I'm having a few suitcase dilema's tonight haha! I'm off for 5 days and can't wait to put my new Canon 700d to work on the beautiful architecure in Barcelona! But before I go off on a total ramble I will continue with tonights post :D I am still so happy about hosting my first ever blog event at The Celtic Manor a few days ago alongside the lovely Jess who is the Celtic Manor's digital officer. You might have already seen some posts about it if you follow me on Twitter and Facebook, but If not I will link all the blogs below who attended the event. Since joining the marketing team at The Celtic Manor as “digital marketing assistant” I have been really focused on developing the new blog and also looking at the idea of hosting a blog event. It’s such a fantastic hotel and literally is the perfect place for any kind of event, as it’s so diverse and accommodating. After a few meetings with my colleague Jess I put together a proposal to present to management to discuss. When I found out that the event was okay to go ahead with I felt such a sense of achievement. I have lacked in confidence for too long now, which is a shame as I used to be really confident.. but this was just what I needed to give me a boost and something to look forward too. Blogging for me has been such an emotional and rewarding experience and I’m so proud of my little old blog! It reminds me that I am capable and how determined I can be when I put my mind to it. I couldn't have been happier with how the day turned out, so I thought I would show you some picture's from the day!
The day started off with me welcoming the blogger's and offering them a drink of their choice. Once the private dining room in the Olive Tree Restaurant was ready, I took the blogger's down to be greeted by a glass of champagne, which was well received. After the blogger's were seated Jess and I gave a small presentation on the new blog and resort, which was followed by a talk from our fantastic pastry chef Karl who spoke about the inspiration behind the Afternoon Tea. Needless to say many tasty festive treats followed from afternoon tea to delicious warm candied citrus peel and gingerbread spiced scones. Once the event began my nerves soon went away and it was great to enjoy the company of some lovely bloggers at a lovely venue! The Christmas Afternoon Tea is absolutely delicious and I completely recommend it as a treat for you, your loved ones and even as a gift too! So here is to one of many blogger events to come at the Celtic Manor Resort :D I would also love to hear your thoughts in the comments section down below and of course leave your link if you would like to be added to the Celtic Manor blogging list!

Balance Me Super Toning Body Polish Review && Giveaway!

Hi Lovelies!
Hope you are all doing well? I must admit I'm still Buzzing from hosting my first blogger event yesterday at The Celtic Manor. Everything went perfect and it was so nice to meet so many lovely bloggers. I have a post coming this week all about the event, so I won't spill all the details right now! Tonight's post is going to be pretty exciting as I'm going to be talking about a lovely new body product, as well announcing a giveaway!! woohoo :) I have used Balance Me as a brand for about two years now and love their wonder eye cream, cleansing balm, radiance face oil and now this gorgeous "Super Toning Body Polish" which has been showing my dry winter skin who's boss! I can sometimes neglect my body-care in favour of some luxurious cleansing face balms or new make up, so the Super Toning Body Polish was just what I needed. I hope you enjoy today's review and giveaway and as always don't forget to leave your thoughts, links and questions in the comments section down below. I absolutely love hearing from you and your comments put a huge smile on my face! (cheesy but true) You can also contact me via my social media icons, which can be found just to the right hand side of my profile :)
The Balance Me "Super Toning Body Polish" sounds like a girls best friend before you even use it! I love the idea of an invigorating, firming and rich body polish.. so I was pretty excited to start using this product. Now don't get me wrong I can get a little lazy on the body polishing front, but with Winter and the Party season approaching it was actually a great time for me to start using a body polish. Key benefits of the Super Toning Body Polish include improved skin tone, smoothness, and elastin-boosting properties. The product uses ground walnut shells and blackberry leaf extract to work powerfully to slough away dead skin cells and to encourage cell renewal with collagen boosting properties. The signature blend by Balance Me also includes naturally active essential oils including, juniper, geranium, lavender and bergamot which help to purify the skin, whilst giving it a wonderfully relaxing scent.. perfect for bath/shower time! I decided to try this on one part of my body and not the other and I definitely felt the difference. My one leg felt very soft and nourished, whereas the other leg felt a little rough and unfriendly in comparison haha! Something I love about this product is how relaxing it smells, which probably has something to do with the fact its full of lovely essential oils! but the relaxing fragrance also makes it great to use within a pamper routine, as well as an everyday scrub if you need it!
Overall, this is a great product for really getting your skin looking and feeling fantastic ready for the party season! In terms of it toning.. I feel that this is something that will come with more and more use of the product, but I can definitely feel a positive difference after using this product each time I have a bath. The walnut shells are lovely and scrubby, but might be something to consider if you have quite sensitive skin. Apart from that, this is a fantastic product and one that is going to stay in my shower/bath routine! Now it's time for the fun part! I love nothing more than being able to treat my lovely readers, so when Balance Me kindly allowed me a product to giveaway I jumped at the chance! Please see below for more instructions on how to enter the giveaway :)

Lifestyle: Looking After My Locks ❤

Hi Lovelies!
Hope you are all doing really well? Today was my Monday off work, as when I work a Saturday I tend to get the following Monday off which always feels like a nice treat. With Barcelona just around the corner I thought it was about time I treated myself to a fancy hair cut at Rhys Giles who is an award winning hair stylist and salon based in Cwmbran and also at the Celtic Manor Resort. I always make sure I book in with my absolute fave Nathan who always looks after me and has been my friend for quite a while now. It's great to have a catch up now and then and just let it all out haha! I'm always so busy around the hotel, so for once it was nice to come into work and have a nice chilled morning. Not only did I have my hair cut.. I also had a luxurious caviar based treatment applied to my hair and of course I did a little shopping! I do feel that sometimes I spend so much time and money on skincare and make-up that I totally forget my hair needs a bit of love too! so I stocked up on some must have products, which I will tell you more about below. I hope you enjoy this post lovelies and I would love to hear from you in the comments section down below. You can also contact me via my Social Media icons just to the right hand side if you would like a quicker response :)
I have used Kerastase for a few years now on and off, but my hair is always 100% happier and healthier when using Kerastase. I haven't tried this shampoo before, but have seen it in lots of magazines including Vogue. My hair is long, thick and quite wavy which means on the occasion it likes to poof out, so the Bain Fluidealiste Discipline (Sulfate Free) Shampoo (£17) sounds like a pretty good place to start with my haircare this Winter! The high precision morpho-sheathing polymer and surface perfector provide beautifully shiny, smooth and even hair from roots to ends... so I'm pretty excited to give this a good go and get back to you with a full review, plus I need to brush up on my morphop-sheathing knowledge before I post the review... as I have no idea what this means haha!
I have also been searching for a new hair brush for quite a while to help keep my tangles at bay. When Nathan recommended my manager who also has long hair the same brush a few weeks back I knew that I wanted to order one in for myself. After trying the brush my hair felt so soft and it seemed to effortlessly get rid of tangles without hurting me in the slightest woohoo! I'm sure I'm not the only one who has come up against painful tangles! The Acca kappa brush (£30) which "Great Lengths" retail are world renowned for both male and female hair extensions and you can see here they have some pretty impressive clientele going on! The brush itself is made in Rome, Italy and totally feels and looks like a princess brush! so I can't wait to use this some more so that I can write up a much needed haircare post for my lovely readers, as it seems like I haven't done one in absolutely ages!
I couldn't forget to add in a few shameless selfie's with Nathan who is an absolute star. If any of you happen to be in Wales and need your hair done then definitely check out Rhys Giles at the Celtic Manor where Nathan works, as he does the most amazing job! I felt so happy and chirpy after getting my hair done, which is a pretty nice way to feel on a cold November morning.

I hope you have enjoyed this post lovelies and I would love to hear from you and know if any of you have tried Kerastase or Great Lengths?

NEOM Organics London - Focus The Mind ❤

Hi Lovelies,
Hope you are all doing really well? I must admit considering I only had a four day week in work it felt a lot longer! I have also been feeling a little under the weather, so I am super happy that its the weekend and I can just chill out. I have also been pretty snowed under with uni assignments as I'm approaching the final stages of my degree and I can definitely feel the pressure. Today's review will hopefully be useful if your feeling a little overwhelmed too, as the NEOM "Focus The Mind" is a great scent to make you feel good and of course feel more focused. If you would like to get in contact with me then please use my social media icons to the right hand side, as I love nothing more than hearing from my lovely readers. I would also love to hear your thoughts about this review in the comments section down below, especially if you struggling with a heavy work load as well! I need some tips that's for sure haha!

 photo neomeupdate_zps7d1fa743.jpg
I have been following NEOM as a brand for a year this Christmas and it has been a fantastic experience. There's that saying that customer service isn't quite like it used to be, but NEOM still have it and that is what impresses me so much about the brand. Their products are obviously gorgeous and of such a high quality, but the way they look after their customers and put so much effort into creating not only beautiful lifestyle products, but products with a real benefit to your mentality... honestly amazes me. I'm a sufferer of anxiety and moderate insomnia, so a good relaxing candle, bath oil or relaxing room mist really does rock my world haha! But today's product is a little different and quite a unique fragrance for NEOM. Most of the NEOM products I have tried have been very relaxing and perfect for bed time. Focus The Mind is also great for relaxing, but it focuses a little more on motivation and giving you a clean mindset to get on with whatever it is that needs to be done. I find that after working 8 hours at a computer by the time I come home I'm mostly too tired and de-motivated to pay my uni work (also online) much attention. However, this candle has become quite a good study companion the last week. Focus the mind used 13 pure essential oils and has been expertly blended to help boost energy and focus. Pine is used to help attain mental clarity, along with eucalyptus and cedar wood which are known to help with colds and to give your immune system a boost. If I could describe this scent it would be Fresh and aromatic (exactly how NEOM describe this candle) as even though the pine and eucalyptus help it to be uplifting the cedar wood adds a relaxing warmth and depth to the scent. All NEOM products are blended with pure essential oils and are all created to have true therapeutic benefits. NEOM candle's are also made out of natural vegetable wax and are 100% fragrance free!

It's no secret that I'm a huge fan of NEOM, but they are a brand that have built and kept my trust over the past year, so its great to see that they are still making and releasing fabulous new products and scents. NEOM candle's now come in a medium size (normal candle size) which is great, as they still last ages, but you can pick this candle up in 1 wick (35hrs) for £30.00! Even though its still expensive, I think NEOM products are definitely a luxury treat worth the splurge!
