Charlotte Tilbury K.I.S.S.I.N.G 'Bitch Perfect' & Lip Cheat 'Pink Venus" ❤

Charlotte Tilbury Bitch Perfect
Hi Lovelies!
Hope you are all doing really well? Phew I'm kinda glad that week is over, but you know what they say onwards and upwards and what better way to forget about a pretty dismal week than talking about a beautiful lipstick... If your obsessed like me then I'm sure you will understand how exciting a new lipstick really is. I have mentioned this lipstick quite a few times, so I thought it would be a good time to write a review on my first Charlotte Tilbury lipstick and lip liner too! Considering this lipstick was part of the "Uptown Girl" set I absolutely love it. It's always a bit of a risk purchasing a gift set, as some products might not be quite to your taste, but everything from the Uptown Girl set is just amazing. I hope you enjoy tonight's review lovelies and I would love to hear from you in the comments section below. You can also use my social media icons to get in touch if you would like a quicker response :)
Charlotte Tilbury Bitch Perfect
When I think of a "your lips but better shade" I normally think of something that accentuates your natural lip colour and makes you feel pretty impressed with your own lips... Bitch Perfect is exactly that shade for me. It's funny because I spend so much time looking for the next lipstick shade to wow me, but the simple fact that this lipstick makes my natural lips look great really impresses me. It's nice to feel confident with a more natural shade, but not only that Bitch Perfect is like the most wearable day shade ever without being boring! If I had to describe this shade it would be a light-medium coraly pink with a subtly luminous finish. It's like a lip-make-over. I also find it makes my lips look a lot smoother and pert, which is great as I can get away with this shade even when my lips are a little patchy and dry. The texture is light and creamy, which makes applying it an absolute dream and it lasts around five hours on me, which is pretty good in my opinion. If I'm looking for a little more definition then I use my Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat in 'Pink Venus' which is the perfect match for Bitch Perfect. The texture of Pink Venus is soft and very comfortable to apply, but it definitely helps to create a fuller look. I thought it was about time I wrote about this beautiful lipstick and it's definitely not going to be my only purchase from the K.I.S.S.I.N.G range - How cute is that name for a lipstick line?

I would love to know your thoughts on this lipstick... is it a shade you would like to try or have you tried any other Charlotte Tilbury products you think I might like?

Michael Todd Soniclear Initial Thoughts ❤

Hi Lovelies!
Hope you are all having a lovely weekend so far and that your enjoying a nice relaxed Sunday? First of all I just wanted to point out I've had a cheeky little blog make-over, which was totally spontaneous. I had no real idea I wanted to do it, but yesterday morning I took to google in hope that I would find a way to refresh my little old blog in time for spring. I'm so happy with my Pipdig design and a huge thanks to Phil who made sure my design was completed within a day. I would totally recommend the service, so check out their link if your in need of a refresh too. Anyway.. A little while ago I made a complete impulse purchase, which the next day I regretted.. It wasn’t anything to do with the product at all, but it was more the fact it was quite expensive and I just didn’t need it ( I well and truly gave into the hype ) I’m sure quite a few of you have heard about Michael Todd and his Soniclear, which is a competitor or the well loved Clarasonic. When I seen Fleur De Forces review on the soniclear I was really impressed and have always trusted her judgement! A few weeks later after not being able to shake the Michael Todd Soniclear from my beauty brain.. I made the purchase! The only reason I regret the purchase is because I’m lucky enough not to have troublesome skin, so on reflection perhaps spending over £100 on a product designed to improve your skins clarity was a bit of a silly idea? I'm sure your thinking if it was a mistake, why didn't you send it back? I did consider sending it back, but the postage back to the USA worked out to be pretty expensive, as well as a returns charge from Michael Todd. I decided to keep the Michael Todd Soniclear and wanted to write an initial thoughts post, as well as a more detailed review after a few months worth of use. I hope you enjoy this review and I would love to hear from you in the comments section below. If you would like to get in contact a little quicker, then you can also use my social media icons to the right hand side. Enjoy the rest of your Sunday :)
Michael Todd Soniclear Initial Thoughts
I have never been drawn to Clarasonic and I don't really know why, as they are so popular within the beauty industry. I found myself watching Fleur De Force and her review on the Soniclear left me intrigued for quite a few weeks, until I finally bit the bullet and make the purchase. After doing my research I found out that the Soniclear pretty much offered the same and in some cases more than the Clarasonic for a much better price. With 20% discount, which was site wide at the time I ended up paying £106 (I also purchased the recommended cleanser) I believe with the discount the Soniclear by itself was around £96, but without discount its priced at £120, which is around the same price as the Clarasonic Mia, but Clarasonic's price range can go up to around £200 depending on the cleansing system you choose.

I decided to opt for the 'Floral' pattern, which I'm so happy with! It looks gorgeous on my dressing table. I like that Michael Todd offer a nice variety of colours, as if your like me I quite like having something a little personal and suited to my taste. I was also really impressed that you get a body brush head inclusive of the price, which is something I don't think comes as standard with the Clarasonic. So, you might be thinking what are the key differences between this and the Clarasonic, so I did my research to try and help you lovelies in case you were thinking of making the purchase too! The most impressive fact I found out was that the Soniclear actually had the same features as the Clarasonic Plus, which is the most expensive from the range. It also has six speeds in comparison to the five that the Clarasonic Plus offers. Another pretty cool feature is the Antimicrobial protection, which is patented by Michael Todd.. this means that your brush head won't go all gross and make-upy, which means that overall you would probably save quite a lot on brush heads. I believe a soniclear brush head can last a year, which is pretty impressive! The soniclear also has a great anti-slip system, which makes using the soniclear a lot easier.. especially in the shower/bath.
Overall
After just over a week of use I don't regret the purchase anymore and I'm quite happily using it daily to remove all the dirt and make-up off my face after a busy day at work. I have also been using the Charcoal Detox Deep Pore Gel Cleanser with the soniclear and so far I really like it. However, I want to do a more in-depth review after a few months of use, as I find skincare products need a lot longer to test drive than make-up related products. However, my skin is looking super clear, smoother and noticely brighter too, which are all good signs to me. I just couldn't resist showing you how pretty it looks haha!

I have never used Clarasonic before, so I would love to hear your thoughts.. do you think Clarasonic is better, or have you tried and tested the Sonicelar? I would also love to hear your thoughts on my new blog layout too :)

Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation Review 100 Ivory & 103 True Ivory ❤

Hi Lovelies!
I hope your all doing really well? I'm having a major TGIF moment right now and I'm so happy to to have finally sat down for the weekend after a busy and fairly stressful week. I have loads of products I want to review on the blog, so keep an eye out.. especially if you like a good old review haha. A few weeks ago I left my make-up bag at home, but I knew I wasn't going to be returning for three nights to pick it up. I honestly felt incomplete... well only for a few minutes, as I brought myself back to earth and realised it's only make-up haha. Working in the hotel industry means that grooming standards are extremely high, so I headed off to the super market to purchase some beauty bits to keep me going, until I got back home. I ended up purchasing the Rimmel Wake Me Up foundation, as it was a foundation I had seen mentioned on many blogs and YouTube channels.. So I thought it was about time I shared my thoughts and also compared it to some of my most loved foundations. I hope you enjoy this post lovelies and I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments section below. Don't forget you can also contact me via my social media icons if you would like a quicker response.
Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation 100 Ivory &103 True Ivory
The last Rimmel foundation I tried was the Match Perfection, but it just wasn't my cup of tea. In terms of drugstore foundations I have never really found a foundation that I can genuinely say I love (until now) Don't get me wrong I do like the L'Oreal True Match & Bourjois Healthy Mix foundations, but they have never replaced my beloved Vitalumiere Aqua, NARS Sheer Glow or Bobbi Brown Foundation Stick! The first thing I noticed about the Wake Me Up foundation was the fact it looked quite glittery when I first put it on the back of my hand! Now this foundation may be a bit of a nightmare if your oily, but personally I quite like a glowy foundation... However, I did wonder if this would be a little bit glowy even for me! After a full day at work I was pleasantly surprised to see that my foundation was still in one piece and throughout the day I didn't feel a huge urge to touch up my make-up! I originally purchased this foundation in the shade 103 True Ivory, which turned out to be a little too dark for my winter skin. However, the shade 100 Ivory suits me much better and it's the shade I opt for most days.

The thing that made me realise I really loved this foundation was the fact that even when I got home I didn't swap it for any of my other favourite foundations... and I have been wearing it daily ever since. I'm really impressed by how it makes my skin look bright and perky.. and I also feel confident that it's going to last me a full working day! However, a little note to self - don't use it with a brightening primer, as by the end of the day you will be a glitter ball. I have been setting this foundation with a semi-matte powder, which keeps it at bay without completely taking away its gorgeous luminosity. Overall, I'm really impressed with this foundation! It has a nice light/medium coverage with a real brightening effect, which lasts all day! However, if your more on the oily side I would probably give this a miss, as it does have shimmer, which could work against a more oily complexion. I also think that the shade selection could be improved, but overall I honestly can't fault this foundation.
I hope you enjoyed this review lovelies and I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments section down below. Have you tried this foundation?

What's In My Makeup Bag? - FT Charlotte Tilbury, Clarins, Chanel, Benefit & Rimmel ❤

Hi Lovelies!
Hope you are all doing really well? I finally managed to submit my journal report for university earlier today, so I decided to make the most of the natural daylight I had left and fired up my camera to take some blog pics. I always find it so much more satisfying playing around with my make-up when I know I should be doing something else *Cough Uni Work* haha! I thought I would go ahead and show you what's in my make-up bag at the moment and tell you a little bit about why they are in there! There are actually a few bits missing, but I thought it would be a bit more authentic if I only spoke about what exactly was in my make-up bag at the time I was taking the pictures! I hope you enjoy this post lovelies and I would love to hear from you in the comments section down below! You can also use my Social media icons to the right hand side if you would like a quicker response :)
What's In My Makeup Bag?
To answer my own question... not actually as much as usual haha! I tend to travel around quite a lot, so I like to make sure that my make-up bag is fully equipped with what I need to last me quite a few day's at a time.

Base
Wow.. I have four base products in my make-up bag.. I didn't actually realise I had that many in there! In terms of a primer type product, I'm currently using my Charlotte Tilbury Wonder Glow Primer, which I adore. It's such a great skin booster and it totally brings out your inner supermodel *wishes* all jokes aside, this is a really popular product that Charlotte loves to use on all her model clientele. I also have my Charlotte Tilbury Light Wonder Foundation, which I do like... but I'm still trying to work out if it has the wow factor for me... but it hasn't left my make-up bag yet, so it must be doing something right?! Another product I have been carrying around is the Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation... I absolutely love the stuff! It's so brightening and it actually has amazing lasting power too, it's been my recent go to foundation for work, as it makes me look really refreshed, even if I'm super tired. Finally, I have my Chanel Vitalumiere Powder Foundation which is a recent add to my make-up bag! Sometimes the Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation can get a little glowy.. especially towards the end of the day, so I love using this to make the Rimmel foundation a little more subtle looking, without completely loosing it's gorgeous glow.

Eyes
You know that good old saying.. The eyes are the window to your soul? Well, I try my very best to keep my eyes looking bright.. but I'm sure you'll agree it's sometimes easier said than done haha. My current concealer is the Clarins Instant Concealer, which is so light, but buildable. It feels really refreshing, as well as being super easy to blend out. I have been using this concealer for the past few months and I love it! In an attempt to keep my eyes looking nice and awake I have recently been applying the Rimmel Scandal Eyes Eyliner in Nude to my waterline. I can't get over how smooth and comfortable this product is too apply and it really does make my eyes look more awake. If I'm looking for a little definition I opt for either my Chanel Eyeliner in Cassis, which is a gorgeous deep Purple (perfect for greeny/blue eyes) or my Charlotte Tilbury The Classic Eyliner in Audrey, which is more of a traditional dark Brown shade. I love both of these eyeliner's and they are perfect for both day and night use! Moving onto my lashes I'm really enjoying my Charlotte Tilbury Full Fat Lashes for gorgeous volume minus clumps! I can see it staying in my make-up bag for quite a while too! Finally, my go to brow product is Benefit's Gimmie Brow! I'm all for no fuss brows, but I love how this really tidies up the shape and adds great definition/

Lips & Cheeks
I'm actually a little shocked by the fact I only have one lipstick in my make-up bag at the moment! Normally it's a minimum of four haha. I have been making the most of my new make-up from my Charlotte Tilbury haul and have been loving the K.I.S.S.I.N.G lipstick in "Bitch Perfect" along with the Lip Cheat Liner in "Pink Venus" I don't think I have ever used two products that truly are "my lips but better" it's such a natural look on me, which is perfect for work. I have also been using my Charlotte Tilbury Cheek to Chic Blusher in "Love Glow" which is a gorgeous Pinky/Peach... who doesn't love a Pinky/Peach blusher.. it seems to work for every single look I try at the moment.
I hope you have enjoyed reading this post as much as I enjoyed writing it! I love writing more chatty posts, so let me know if you would like to see more. I would love to hear your thoughts on "What's in my make-up bag" is there anything you have or would like to try?

Have a fantastic week!

NUXE Reve De Miel Review ❤

Hi Lovelies!
Hope you are all doing really well? I can't believe it's Friday already! I must admit this week has been pretty stressful at times and I feel like I haven't had enough office time at work to really get a grip of what I need to do! On a brighter note I had team building yesterday.. which involved a delicious lunch with my team and also a brainstorm session, and it actually ended up being really productive! It's really great to get out of the office every now and then and escape the norm! and on an even brighter note.. I booked DUBAI!! woohoo. Omg I was seriously driving myself crazy trying to find the perfect holiday for me and Daniel, but finally we have as super luxurious holiday planned with lots of extra treats too! I think by October we will both be ready to soak up some serious sunshine and around that time of year it's supposed to be 35c.. which will do me just nicely. I'm also looking forward to doing some holiday inspired blog posts, so let me know if you would be interested in a holiday series on my blog. Anyway lovelies.. Tonight's post is going to be about a lip product, which is seriously wow. I'm completely in love with it and it has totally given me confidence to wear more outgoing lip products, as now my lips aren't half a dry and chapped as they were before I started using this product. I hope you enjoy the review lovelies and I would love to hear from you in the comments section down below. Don't forget you can also use my social media to get in touch, if you would like a quicker response :)
Firstly, a lot of lip balms come in (cute) packaging, but Nuxe take the idea of a luxury lip balm to a whole new level. It probably has to do with the gorgeous and incredibly sturdy glass jar, which makes it feel really expensive! I also love the Anniversary edition and me being me I obviously opted for the Pink version haha. It has a really pleasant lemony/orangey scent, which is light and uplifting! I know some citrus scents can be a little over the top, but this is absolutely lovely! It includes Honey and an array of precious oils to nourish, repair, soothe and protect the driest and most chapped lips!

Now.. moving onto it's incredible texture. It's truly like no other lip balm and it's thickness as slight texture make it the perfect rescue remedy for painful, chapped and ridiculously dry lips (like mine) I really love to use this as an evening treat and it's almost like a "lip mask" despite it being thick in texture, it's easy enough to make it work for the day time too.. by just reducing how much product you apply. In the evening I make sure I have quite a thick covering and by morning I have soothed and hydrated lips, which is something I'm not used too. I do still top up in the morning, whilst doing my skincare... which keeps me going for the rest of the day. It does have a matte finish, but I find it works in my favour.. especially as a base product to help other lip products last that little bit longer.

Overall, I'm thrilled with this little gem of a lip balm. I have suffered so much with my lips to the point of embarrassment, especially when they randomly start to bleed in work. I can honestly hand on heart say that since using this product for the past few weeks.. I have seen such a huge difference in the condition of my lips. I'm enjoying getting use out of more and more of my lip products now, so for me the Nuxe Reve De Miel is 100% worth the hype and it's £9.50 price tag.
I hope you have enjoyed this review lovelies and I would love to hear from you in the comments section down below! Don't forget to leave your links too and I will be sure to check them out!

I just wanted to let you know I might be a little bit absent for a few days, as I have a huge amount of uni work, which means I really need to knuckle down haha! You can always contact me via my Social Media if you would like a chat though :)

Current Beauty Favourites ❤

Charlotte Tilbury Lipgloss
Hi Lovelies!
Hope you are all doing well and enjoying your Sunday? I must admit after a pretty up and down week I'm glad to be sat by the log fire doing what I love most. This week has really been tough especially after a tragic accident (not directly related to myself) getting stuck in a lift and generally being tied down with things. I never thought being stuck in a lift would have been that scary, but I was alone with no phone signal and also the alarm button didn't work.. so I did panic! Anyway, you know what they say it's a new week and I'm feeling pretty positive now. It feels like I haven't posted in ages, but last weekend my lighting broke and I just felt that my mid-week post wasn't up to standard, but now I have my brand new shiny lighting... So I'm excited to up my photography game some more! Today's post is going to be about my current beauty favourites, which I find myself reaching for on a daily basis.. especially in work! I hope you enjoy this post lovelies and I would love to hear from you in the comments section down below. Don't forget you can also get in touch with me through my Social Media icons just to the right hand side! :)

Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation Ivory
I must admit this wasn't a planned purchase.. it was a result of a serious panic that I had left my travel make-up bag at home and all I had was my NARS VD Palette, concealer and a lipstick! I knew I wasn't going to be home for a few days, so I headed to my local tesco and picked up a few beauty goodies to keep me going. I knew this foundation was well loved in the blogosphere, so I decided to give it a whirl! I seriously haven't put it down since and it has replaced my Chanel foundation the past week. I actually have this in two shades now, so I'm thinking about doing a comparison post and full review in the next week or so!

NUXE Reve De Reve De Miel
Now this is seriously something else! I have been a loyal fan to my Korres Lip Butter the past few years, but I have seriously fallen head over heels for this little beauty.. it's love! I can't believe I have waited so long to try this, but for some reason I had it in my head that it was like £20? I think for £9.50 it's a steal as it's such a miracle worker. My lips have been transformed from constantly being uneven and terribly dry! Keep an eye out for a full review.

Benefit Puff Off!
Benefit always gets it right with their packaging and most of their products too.. but this little beauty is definitely as good as it looks. I love the way it instantly diffuses darkness and puffy eyes, plus it's like a make-up/skin-care hybrid.. so it's perfect to use under make-up to brighten your eye area up, or as a general eye cream. You can see my full review here

Charlotte Tilbury Lip Lustre 'Sweet Stilleto'
I purchased the CT Lip Lustre in Sweet Stiletto as part of my recent CT Haul! I'm absolutely loving all the products, but this lip gloss/lacquer has been one of my go to products from my haul. It can be quite hard to find a good lip gloss, which gives the right amount of colour payoff with a comfortable formula! Sweet Stiletto is a medium coral with warm undertones, which for me personally makes it easy to wear on a daily basis as it's not too bright! I have found it to be super long lasting for a gloss and it doesn't dry my lips out at all! I have a full review planned for this product :)
 Beauty Favourites
I hope you have enjoyed this post lovelies! I would love to hear what your current beauty favourites are at the moment and are any of them the same as mine?

I hope you lovelies have a great week! - Also.. a huge welcome if you are new from #bbloggers!
