The Ultimate Beauty Icon| Angelina Jolie #HoFBeautyAmbassador ❤

If I make a fool of myself, who cares? I'm not frightened by anyone's perception of me - Angelina Jolie

Hi Lovelies!
Today's post is going to be slightly different and I'm sure excited to announce that I'm entering the #HoFBeautyAmbassador competition. I've been lucky to work with House of Fraser on a few occasions and this is such a fantastic opportunity for a make-up and beauty lover like myself. I've had a pretty tough few weeks, so the thought of sitting down to the blog and talking about my favourite beauty icons sounded like a real treat! I hope you enjoy this post lovelies and I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments section down below. Don't forget you can also use my Social icons to the right hand side if you would like to get in contact with me a little quicker :)

I remember when I left school in 2010 we had our year book made and  a few of us had look alikes! Mine happened to be Angelina Jolie when she was Lara Croft in toomb-raider. Now to me that was a HUGE compliment even though I didn't and still don't think I look anything like her (I wish) However, compliments like that should be appreciated ha! Angelina Jolie is known as one of the worlds most beautiful women and I've always had a fascination with her flawless skin, sultry charm and of course her beautiful lips. Not only that, but she is a strong woman and I do admire her majestic persona. I'm sure you know I LOVE me some make-up, but at the same time I've never really felt like I've suited dramatic looks or super defined eyes. That's why I love Angelina and pretty much refer to her on all of my make-up look searches Pinterest and Youtube. I love how simple but flawless all of her make-up looks are and I also adore the way she adds a beautiful red lip every now and then! I'm pretty sure I will do my make-up exactly like hers for my wedding day... whenever that may be! I'm actually just like WOW - She really is a classic beauty, at least in my opinion. Below I have included some of my favourite products that I use to create an Angelina Jolie inspired look.

Chanel Les Beiges All-in-one Healthy Glow Fluid
I'm a true believer that it's all about the base and for me the best way to achieve flawless looking skin is by using a healthy fluid like a tinted moisturiser under my foundation. The Chanel Les Beiges Fluid doesn't necessarily provide coverage, but it really evens and smooths out the skin for the rest of your make-up. It's a foolproof way to achieving gorgeous glowing skin like Angie has!

YSL Touche Eclat Blur Primer
After applying my Chanel Les Beiges Fluid I take a small pump of the YSL Touche Eclt Blur Primer and just gently smooth it into the area's where my pores are most noticeable. It does a fantastic job of smoothing them out, plus it's part of the adored Touche Eclat range so it does wonders for brightening and improving the overall look of the complexion.

Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua Foundation B20
Angelina's complexion is the kind of complexion you dream of! It looks 'Filmstar Esq' with or without make-up. I like to use my favourite Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua foundation to give me a flawless complexion, which feels light and breathable at the same time.

Clarins Instant Concealer 'Light'
This concealer is absolutely perfect for so many reasons! Not only does it conceal under eye problems and blemishes... It's also super fluid and light, which makes it great for contouring too. I tend to apply it with my fingers making it into a triangle shape to help conceal an imperfections.

Chanel Soleil Tan De Chanel
The Chanel Soleil Tan De Chanel is a key product when I'm looking to create and Angelina esq look, as her cheekbones are just to die for. I mean seriously they need appreciation. The Chanel Soleil Tan De Chanel bronzer is a great way to achieve great definition and the cream texture is really easy to work with too!

Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze and Glow
The film star bronze and glow really is one of the most perfect duo's I have ever come across and also very fitting for creating a beautiful filmstar look like Angelina has. I always use the highlighter which is a super pigmented champagne highlighter just above my cheekbones, down my nose and just over my cupids bow. I also use a touch of the bronzer to strenghten my contour if I want a little more definition.

Charlotte Tilbury Cheek to Chic Blush 'Love Glow'
From what I've noticed Angelina tends to go for quite a dusky pink tone when it comes to blush and this one is fantastic for adding just a tiny pop of colour to compliment the look, but at the same time not go over the top!

Maybelline Master Precise Liquid Liner & Charlotte Tilbury Classic 'Audrey' Pencil
Personally I have never been able to achieve super dramatic eye looks and that is why I love Angelina's look so much! I really feel that I can identify with the looks she likes to wear and it makes it super fun for me to experiment. Angie is famous for her cat-eye and subtle smokey eye and these two products are a fantastic way to achieve a simple but defined look. I tend to use the maybelline liquid liner for a precise cat eye and the Charlotte Tilbury pencil to gently smoke it out.

Charlotte Tilbury Super Fat Lashes Mascara
Angelina's lashes are always beauttifully fanned out and again very natural looking. The Charlotte Tilbury Super Fat Lashes Mascara is a really good way to achieve full lashes with zero clumps!

Benefit Gimmie Brow
I love to keep my brows natural, so there is no better product than Benefit's Gimmie Brow for naturally defined and volumised brows. I've also noticed that Angelina has very natural looking brows!

Charlotte Tilbury K.I.S.S.I.N.G Lipstick 'Bitch Perfect'
What better way to finish off a look than with a lipstick called 'Bitch Perfect' As well as her natural beauty Angelina is also well known for her 'bad ass' film roles, so I feel that this lipstick is very fitting. I also find the formula quite volumising and my lips always feel super plump when wearing this lipstick. I also use a little bit of lip liner to just add a little extra depth! (I wish I had Angie's lips)

Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow Powder
To finish off I like to add a dusting of the Chanel Les Beiges Powder just to keep my T-zone under control.
Overall
I hope you have enjoyed hearing about what products I like to use to create an 'Angelina Jolie' esq look. It's a pretty put together look, but all the products used are very natural and glowy (without being shiny) It's a real foolproof look for me, as well as appearing natural too.

Elemis White Brightening Even Tone Lotion Review ❤

Elemis White Brightening Even Tone Lotion
Hi Lovelies!
Hope you've all had a great weekend? After working yesterday it was so nice to sit outside last night and enjoy the warmer weather we have been having in Wales. Sadly today is a different story and it's feeling pretty cold outside right now, so I thought I would take to the blog to tell you about a product I have been really enjoying recently. If you've been reading my blog for quite some time now then you will probably know that Elemis are one of my favourite skincare brands. I've been lucky to not only work with them on my blog, but also work at an Elemis Spa where I learnt so much about the brand and their amazing values. I'm a huge fan and couldn't wait to start revieiwng some new products I've been trying from their 'White Brightening Collection'. I would love to hear from you in the comments section below and a huge welcome if you're visiting from #bbloggers tonight!

I'm totally into skincare and have used Elemis skincare religiously since 2012. I was so excited to find out that Elemis were launching a new 'White Brightening System' and of course I was straight down to the spa at work when I heard that it was in stock. I actually purchased the whole collection and planned on doing a collective review. However, I've found that I've been using the Even Tone Lotion the most and thought it would be best to review this product first. The new 'White Brightening System' is a truly innovative solution for the demand for a brighter and more even skin tone. The system is also designed to target concerns such as dark spots, age sports and excess pigmentation. I'm lucky not to suffer so much with those concerns, but what I do suffer with is dehydrated skin, which can look quite dull at times. I'm also a pretty bad sleeper, so I figured that I would give this collection a go and see how I got along with it.

The Elemis White Brightening Even Tone Lotion is designed to be applied immediately after cleansing to prepare and condition the skin (It's kind of like a toner with added skincare benefits). Melanin inhibiting diary, sophora and kiwi extracts help to reduce the appearance of dark spots, ages spots and existing imperfections, whilst red algae intensely moisturises and leaves the skin visibly more clear, luminous, soft and shine free. I have been using this lotion for almost two months and the results have been fantastic. It's quite milky and ever so slightly thicker than most toning type products, but it applies like a dream. I've genuinely felt a lot better about my complexion and the results have been really visible. After applying this lotion my skin looks and feels a lot smoother, as well as being brighter in appearance. It also helps to control oil, which in my eyes is a fantastic bonus! as I do get a little oily around the t-zone at times.
Elemis White Brightening Even Tone Lotion
Overall I would really recommend this product and would say it's my favourite product out of the whole collection. It can really stand on its own and I always notice good results after using it! One thing to note with this range is that it's not advised to be used if you are trying to get a tan (unless you wear a high SPF in the daytime) due to it's brightening properties. As you can see I've been brave and posted a natural selfie below (with a touch of mascara and lip balm) to show you the overall condition of my skin. I do have a few marks, but overall I'm really happy with how my skin tone is improving in it's brightness and clarity. I have also included the impressive Independent Results below, which show that a high percentage of the trialled users really noticed a difference. It is quite expensive at £39.50, but if you're looking for visible brightening results then this might be a good place to start.

Independent Results
88% of women agreed that the product left their skin looking clear
84% of women agreed that the product left their skin looking more luminous
78% of women agreed that the product left skin tone more even

Beauty Products: Dismissed ✗

Hi Lovelies!
Hope you're all doing well? I feel like I'm ready to get back on my blog game after taking some time off! As I mentioned in my last post I've been so consumed with work, but also with a little personal venture I'm currently developing. However, I couldn't wait to get my blog on again and speak to my lovely readers. Now there are SO many products I adore and love writing about on my blog, but I noticed I had a few beauty buys in my collection which weren't getting as much loving! I thought I would go ahead and write a post about the beauty products that haven't worked well for me. I do slightly worry about writing these kind of posts, as I don't want to seem like I'm dismissing these products as they are all from seriously amazing brands that I actually really do like. However, I thought it would be good to tell you why they didn't work for me and you never know it might help you make a decision if you were thinking about purchasing one of these products. I just want you lovelies to bare in mind that just because it hasn't worked for me it doesn't mean it won't work for you. I always recommend doing your research and popping into the shop to find out more information about beauty products where and when you can! I hope you enjoy this slightly different post from me lovelies and I would love to hear from you in the comments section below. You can also use my social icons to the right hand side if you would like to get in touch a little quicker!

Victoria's Secret Love Spell Body Spray
I must admit I really wanted to love this, but the scent just wasn't for me. I find that my skin doesn't always take scents that well and this particular fragrance made me feel a little queasy when wearing it. Apart from that though I'm pretty much obsessed by all things VS ha!

Decleor Aroma Night Balm
I've had this for quite some time now and I really love it's relaxing neroli scent, but it's just way to much for my skin too handle in terms of it's texture. It's super thick/waxy and even though I do normally like a luxe formula my skin just can't seem to absorb this one, even when I leave it on overnight I tend to still feel its presence on my skin the following morning.

Clarins Gentian Cleansing Milk & HydraQuench Lotion
Most of the time I really enjoy using Clarins, but these two products haven't done a lot for me to be honest. The cleansing milk is nice, but it's scent is pretty overpowering and quite 'old' smelling, which makes me not really want to use it. The HydraQuench Lotion on the other hand is a much nicer product and I didn't dislike using it at all. However, It didn't really stand out enough or do enough for my skin to make me want to keep on using it.

MAC Studio Sculpt Foundation
I love MAC (who doesn't?), but this foundation really didn't work for me sadly. I knew it was going to be full coverage, but for me this was too thick to really work with everyday. I'm not sure if I was applying it the wrong way, but it seemed to stay right on top of my skin without even settling a little bit into my skin.

Vichy Hyaluspot Treatment
There is no doubt that this product is pretty impressive and basically it's a 'Spot Plaster' which is pretty cool in itself. However, personally I really didn't notice it reduce the size of any spots I used it on. The protective film is designed to keep the area clean, but for me I just couldn't get used to the texture. It does have some really good reviews though, so maybe I need to revisit this - Have you tried it?
I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments section below! Have you used any of the products in this post and how have you got along with them? I would also love to hear about the products that you don't get along with so well!

Thermae Bath Spa Review ❤

Hi Lovelies!
Hope you are all doing really well? I know I've been a bit MIA lately, but my schedule at work and home has been crazy. I literally haven't had a moment to myself and I really can't bring myself to blog when I'm feeling stressed. I love my content to be passionate, so when I need a break I like to take one, so that I don't get blogger burn out. Yesterday I had Polo at the Manor at work, which is one of our largest events, so I've really had to put my concentration in work and helping to ensure the event was a success (which it was) despite the grey and rainy day we had yesterday! I also met one of my favourite bloggers Jamie from 'Explore with Ed' which was fantastic, he was so lovely! You might have noticed on my Social Media a little while back that I had been looking forward to a spa day at the Thermae Bath Spa with my friend Floss, who is also a blogger. Me and Floss met through work and it's been so nice to find a friend out of work who I really enjoy spending time with! We were kindly invited to Thermae Bath Spa to experience the true magic that Bath has to offer, It's really spectacular. A spa day was just what I needed at the time and I literally had the best day ever! I could really do with another trip back like now ha!. Due to privacy reasons we were not able to take our own pictures. However, Thermae Bath Spa kindly supplied us with some gorgeous professional media pictures for our blog posts. I hope you enjoy this review and I would love to hear from you in the comments section below. I always reply to my blog comments, so don't be shy! If you would like to get in contact a little quicker then you can also contact me via my social media icons.
About Thermae Bath Spa
Thermae Bath Spa is a remarkable combination of 'old and new' where historic spa buildings blend with the contemporary design of the New Royal Bath. Thermae Bath Spa is Britain's only natural warm mineral-rich waters, which the Celts and Romans bathed in over 2,000 years ago. The thermal waters contain over 42 different minerals, the most concentrated being sulphate, calcium & chloride.
I happily hopped on my train from Newport S.Wales to Bath Spa in hope of a day of pure relaxation. I was really excited to be meeting up with a friend of mine who I hadn't seen in ages and of course I couldn't wait for a spa day. I arrived in Bath a little early so I got some breakfast in one of my favourite cafes 'Cafe Au lait' which is literally across the road from the train station, it's so cute. Once I had met with Floss we walked to the Spa where our fantastic journey began. We were welcomed by Charlotte who looks after sales and marketing and she made us both feel very welcome. Floss had her treatment first (full body massage), so she went to get changed whilst I had a look around the fantastic offerings of Thermae Bath Spa. Shortly after I also got changed and headed straight for the steam rooms, which were SO amazing. There are four steam rooms, which are infused with an aromatic essence such as lotus flower, eucalyptus, lavender and lemon! There is also a central 'waterfall shower' which provides a variety of sensations from a calming mist to an invigorating tropical shower. I'm a huge fan of eucalyptus, so I spent most of my time clearing my senses in the eucalyptus steam room. I then decided to go for a swim in the Minerva Bath which was named after the Roman Goddess of health and wisdom. The Minerva Bath was the largest of the thermal baths and I enjoyed  the warm waters, invigorating jets and lazy river.

My treatment was at 12pm, so I made sure I was on time! I filled out my consultation form, which was a familiar process for me as I used to work at a spa and then I waited for my therapist to collect me for my treatment. I decided to go for the Vichy 'Hot Stones' Experience which was absolutely amazing! The experience includes a stone, oil and water ritual which uses the latest hydro massage techniques. The treatment started with a full body exfoliation along with the addition of a nourishing aromatherapy oil and water ritual. If that doesn't sound good enough the treatment also consisted of a hot stones massage, which makes this treatment so unique. I really haven't come across anything like it before and it's totally a sensory overload in a good way! After the treatment I felt totally relaxed, cleansed and rejuvenated which of course was a brilliant result. My therapist was also very kind and attentive and made sure I was comfortable throughout. After the treatment I was taken to the relaxation room where I met up with Floss for a herbal tea.

After catching up about our fantastic treatments we headed up to the Springs Cafe Restaurant where we enjoyed a fantastic light lunch and of course more catching up! We couldn't leave without taking a dip in the famous 'Open-air Rooftop Pool' which boasts the most spectacular views over the City of Bath. I honestly didn't want to get out! The naturally warm waters and bubbling jets made it such a fantastic experience for the both of us. Overall, I would 100% recommend Thermae Bath Spa and I think it's a real gem! Anyone can visit and they do accept walk In's based on their availability that day, which makes it great if you happen to stumble upon it and fancy a swim in the beautiful waters! The spa can get quite busy on weekends, especially with tourism. However, I did check with the spa and Tuesday - Thursday's are quite a bit quieter! I did go on a Friday and even though it was busy, it wasn't any less enjoyable. It really is a fantastic location with so much to offer!

I hope you enjoyed this reviews lovelies? I would love to hear your thoughts below and I would also love to hear about your favourite spa day's or perhaps how you like to relax? I could always do with some tips! - I would really recommend checking out Thermae Bath Spa's Youtube as well, it has some great video's which are super helpful, especially if you're quite new to spa's!
