Hope you're all doing well? I feel like I'm ready to get back on my blog game after taking some time off! As I mentioned in my last post I've been so consumed with work, but also with a little personal venture I'm currently developing. However, I couldn't wait to get my blog on again and speak to my lovely readers. Now there are SO many products I adore and love writing about on my blog, but I noticed I had a few beauty buys in my collection which weren't getting as much loving! I thought I would go ahead and write a post about the beauty products that haven't worked well for me. I do slightly worry about writing these kind of posts, as I don't want to seem like I'm dismissing these products as they are all from seriously amazing brands that I actually really do like. However, I thought it would be good to tell you why they didn't work for me and you never know it might help you make a decision if you were thinking about purchasing one of these products. I just want you lovelies to bare in mind that just because it hasn't worked for me it doesn't mean it won't work for you. I always recommend doing your research and popping into the shop to find out more information about beauty products where and when you can! I hope you enjoy this slightly different post from me lovelies and I would love to hear from you in the comments section below. Victoria's Secret Love Spell Body Spray
I must admit I really wanted to love this, but the scent just wasn't for me. I find that my skin doesn't always take scents that well and this particular fragrance made me feel a little queasy when wearing it. Apart from that though I'm pretty much obsessed by all things VS ha!
Decleor Aroma Night Balm
I've had this for quite some time now and I really love it's relaxing neroli scent, but it's just way to much for my skin too handle in terms of it's texture. It's super thick/waxy and even though I do normally like a luxe formula my skin just can't seem to absorb this one, even when I leave it on overnight I tend to still feel its presence on my skin the following morning.
Clarins Gentian Cleansing Milk & HydraQuench Lotion
Most of the time I really enjoy using Clarins, but these two products haven't done a lot for me to be honest. The cleansing milk is nice, but it's scent is pretty overpowering and quite 'old' smelling, which makes me not really want to use it. The HydraQuench Lotion on the other hand is a much nicer product and I didn't dislike using it at all. However, It didn't really stand out enough or do enough for my skin to make me want to keep on using it.
MAC Studio Sculpt Foundation
I love MAC (who doesn't?), but this foundation really didn't work for me sadly. I knew it was going to be full coverage, but for me this was too thick to really work with everyday. I'm not sure if I was applying it the wrong way, but it seemed to stay right on top of my skin without even settling a little bit into my skin.
Vichy Hyaluspot Treatment
There is no doubt that this product is pretty impressive and basically it's a 'Spot Plaster' which is pretty cool in itself. However, personally I really didn't notice it reduce the size of any spots I used it on. The protective film is designed to keep the area clean, but for me I just couldn't get used to the texture. It does have some really good reviews though, so maybe I need to revisit this - Have you tried it?
I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments section below! Have you used any of the products in this post and how have you got along with them? I would also love to hear about the products that you don't get along with so well!
