The 2015 Cosmo Blog Awards ❤

Hello My Lovelies!
I hope you're all doing really well? I'm sure most of my readers know that this year I was lucky enough to have been  'Shortlisted for Best in Beauty' in the Cosmo Blog Awards. It has always been a dream of mine to attend, but I had previously put off getting involved because I just felt so anxious about it and I guess not good enough. However, this year I finally plucked up the courage to attend and firstly have to THANK EVERYONE who believed in me and voted for me this year. There were roughly 64k votes and I managed to get shortlisted in my category for 'Best in Beauty' - Just WOW. It still feels so surreal and to top it all off I finally got to meet my lovely friend Sophia Meola! We have spoken pretty much daily or at least three times a week since 2012 and this was the first time we met - As you can imagine it was like we had known each other forever and we truly had the most fun and girly day you could possibly imagine! I guess I just want to have a little ramble about how amazing my experience was and how amazing it was to meet so many gorgeous and seriously talented bloggers. I hope you enjoy this post my lovelies and I would love to hear from you in the comments section below.
After meeting at Paddington myself and Sophia headed to our fabulous hotel 'The Marylebone Hotel' so that we could drop off our suitcases (neither of us travel light) and start to explore London. Now, I must admit I was a bit of bad blogger on this trip, as I didn't really take that many pictures. I think I was so excited and it was such a whirlwind that I just didn't get time to properly get my camera out! Our first stop was Harrods and even though we both love shopping and all things fabulous, we pretty much talked all the way around Harrods. A week or so before we had decided to visit Laudree for lunch and oh my god it was spectacular - I felt like we were in a dolls house. Our food was delicious and I opted for the 'Concorde Salad' and I believe Sophia had the 'Laudree Club Sandwich'. After a lovely lunch, we obviously couldn't leave Laudree without some cute Macaroons!

The week before the event I had also arranged for our make-up to be done at Charlotte Tilbury, but we didn't get around to sorting out our hair due to our busy schedules! Luckily enough I had done some research on a few well known salons in London and a popular option was the Hershesons Blow Dry Bars! After a few calls we managed to get two appointments in the Harvey Nichols Salon (Phew). We were both super happy with our hair and after we were done, we pretty much had to jump in a taxi to Selfridges to get our make-up done at Charlotte Tilbury! Now I have to give a MASSIVE shout out to my make-up artist Nassim! She was honestly so much fun and made me feel really comfortable. We talked and laughed throughout the whole make-over and I loved how my make-up turned out. I went for a flawless base and Nassim created a really unique look on my eyes, which was quite smoky and sexy looking. I was going to opt for a red lip (but time wasn't on my side) I decided to go for the shade 'Penelope Pink' which is a beauty nudey pink, which complimented my eye makeup - I actually ended up purchasing it and will be sure to review it on my blog soon!

The actual event was hosted at 'One Marylebone' a former church near Regent's Park, which was honestly the most perfect backdrop for such a fantastic event. I wore a gorgeous TFNC London dress that made me feel super festive! I also wore my mini Versace handbag, which was a cute addition to my look. There were 10 categories in total and I honestly felt so honoured to be amongst so many talented bloggers. I also couldn't be happier that Sophia walked away with 'Highly Commended' For 'Best Use of Photography'. It was so deserved and made our time together even more amazing! We have literally shared our blogging journey together and it was just a great way to finally meet and of course celebrate. I also want to congratulate all the bloggers who attended and all the bloggers who walked away with awards, including the lovely Brogan Tate who won two awards for 'Best in Beauty' & Highly Commended for 'Best Vlog' - Now that's blogger power!
As the event started to come to an end we were given an absolutely amazing goody bag from cosmopolitan and I was also lucky to get a fantastic goody bag from Remmington too, as they were hosting my category within the competition. I can't wait to start using some of the goodies and will also do a few full reviews on the blog! After an amazing night meeting new bloggers and of course (the odd cocktail) myself and Sophia decided to head back to our hotel and have a bit of a beauty blogger sleepover - Can you spot the burgers above, yes that's how we celebrated ha! I love a bit of room service and we even had some ice cream too, which pretty much turned into milkshake because we were having so much fun and chatting about the event!
Overall, I had such an amazing experience and to be shortlisted within 'Beauty' out of 64k nominations is a serious achievement in itself and I'm so proud to have got that far. We were all winners that night and it was truly amazing to meet so many lovely new bloggers, and also to finally meet the gorgeous Sophia who I can't wait to catch up with in the New Year!

I'm sorry if this has been a bit of a ramble! But I just had to tell you all about it :)

PS - A huge shoutout the the gorgeous Kate & Stephanie from Cocoa Brown Tan who were super lovely!

Lots of Love
