6 WOW Cleansers For 2016 ❤

Hello My Loves!
Hope you're all doing well? I'm sure most of my readers will know I'm a bit of a skincare junkie and I love nothing more than giving my skin a good old pamper. I thought I would put together 6 of my favourite cleansers that really have made a difference to my skin in one way or another. I'm by no means a skincare expert, especially as our skin types vary so much! I have had some skincare training though and my skin tends to be normal most of the time, but will fluctuate to normal-combination at times. I must admit these pictures looked a lot better on camera than they now do on screen, so I hope you don't mind if the pictures aren't quite as crisp. I hope you enjoy this post lovelies and I would love to hear from you in the comments section below. You can also contact me via my social media icons if you would like a much quicker response.

After recently making a beauty order, I was super excited to see that I had also received a super generous sample of the Eve Lom Morning Time Cleanser! With the cult status that the cleansing balm holds (review below), I was excited to try this out and it’s official I love it and actually prefer it to the cleansing balm, and as far as I can see it doesn't contain mineral oil like the balm. The Morning Time Cleanser is described as being a lightweight balm that helps to decongest and invigorate morning skin. Papaya enzyme extract and carrot oil help to make this morning balm a quick and easy way to banish sluggish morning skin. Despite being the newest addition to my skincare routine, it has definitely become a go to cleanser for when I really need my skin to look its best.

Who doesn’t love this?! I’m pretty convinced I will keep the Garnier Micellar Water in my routine for the rest of my life. Sometimes I use it as a pre cleanser, a quick cleanser or simply just to freshen up my face! Its worth it’s weight in gold and I can 100% rely on this Micellar cleanser to leave my skin feeling smooth and clean without any residue in sight.

The Sunday Riley Blue Moon Cleansing Balm is the most expensive cleansing balm I have ever used, but I’m definitely happy to have it in my collection. It’s a luxurious blue (how cool is that) balm, which smells like Terry’s Chocolate Orange and leaves your skin feeling like it would after a series of 6 facials. It's definitely the cleanser I go to when I'm looking for a special treat! The only slight issue with this balm is the texture isn’t quite as workable, as you might expect for it’s price! See full review

I call it the “Cult” one because for me it really is. It’s expensive, but out of all the cleansers in this post I would recommend this one the most. It leaves skin nourished, settled and just really happy looking! It’s quite oily, which makes the texture very workable and luxurious to touch. Nothing balances my skin like this cleansing balm and It really is a WOW cleanser for me.

I was lucky to receive this as part of a beauty box and after dabbling in Murad a few times before, I was excited to be able to try a new product. However, I was dubious as to be honest exfoliating my skin is not my favourite part of my routine! Nothing annoys me more than thinking your face is clean and then realising you haven’t quite removed all the scrubby bits! However, this exfoliating cleanser has well and truly sealed itself a place in my daily routine. It feels mostly like a cleanser, but the addition of jojoba beads help to gently polish, exfoliate and smooths skin whilst boosting hydration. Other key ingredients include salicylic, lactic and glycolic acids, which also help to improve brightness and cell-turnover by dissolving dead skin cell build up. I would seriously recommend this if your in the market for a no fuss exfoliator!

There really isn’t anything like an oil cleanser for removing make-up and I kinda feel a little late to the party with this one, but The Body Shop Silky Cleansing Oil has well and truly lived up to it’s hype. For under £15 you get the feeling of a cleanser that would be much more expensive and most importantly it dissolves dirt and make-up like no other!
I hope you've enjoyed reading this post my lovelies. All the cleansers mentioned above I truly love and would personally recommend. I would love to hear your thoughts below! Have you used any of the above or are there any that you like the sound of - I'm also more than happy to give you more information on the cleansers, as I know a few of the cleansers are pretty pricey and wouldn't want you to purchase something that might not quite be right.

Eve Lom Cleansing Balm - For The Weekend Only! ❤

Hi Lovelies!
Hope you're all well? I've been really ill the past week and a half and have pretty much been bed bound since Saturday. I managed to get through last week feeling pretty below par, but on the weekend it went to a whole new level. Swollen glands are not my friend. So, we're half way through the week already and I thought I would get back to blogging and write a post about a cleanser that I've recently been lucky enough to try! I know the title may sound a little confusing, but last week my lovely colleague Suzanne came over with her brand new Eve Lom Cleansing Balm and very kindly asked me if I wanted to try it over the weekend. She had seen on my Twitter that I mentioned about purchasing it, but was hesitant due to having a few other balms to get through first. It was honestly such a kind gesture and everyone at work is so supportive over my blog and it really means a lot. I thought I would do an initial thoughts kind of post, just to let you know how I got along with it over the three days I used it. I also have a follow up post with lots of cleansers that I'm currently loving and there is also another Eve Lom cleanser that features in that post, so keep checking back if you're a skincare junkie like me! I hope you enjoy this post and I would love to hear your thoughts below.
I've always been faithful to the Emma Hardie Cleansing Balm and more recently I've been using the Sunday Riley Blue Moon Cleansing Balm. However, in the back of my mind I've always wanted to try the Eve Lom Cleansing Balm. When opening the packaging you are presented with a muslin cloth and a nice white pot, which does look very aesthetically pleasing. I also adore White and Gold... so for me the packaging was instantly a hit! The first thing that greeted me on opening the actual pot was it's very distinctive herbal and slightly medicinal scent. I wasn't sure what I thought of it at first, but after using this balm (and the other Eve Lom cleanser I mentioned above) I kinda got used to it. The scent doesn't linger around, so it's not a huge issue. However, if you're a fan of sweet scents then this may be a bit of a shock.

The texture is thick and waxy, but pretty much instantly melts to enable you to spread it across your face (you only need a teeny bit) It's a very luxurious/spa like experience and combined with a muslin cloth (which is included) it does feel like your giving your skin the works! It contains a wealth of aromatic plant oils, including Clove, Eucalyptus, Hops and Egyptian Chamomile that all help to tone, soothe and drain away any nasty toxins. The one issue with this cleanser is the fact it uses a mineral oil base (personally, I've never had an issue with mineral oil products) However, it is one of the more likely ingredients to break you out. I must admit I'm not 100% clued up on mineral oil, but it may be worth checking out if you're investing £40+ in this product.
Overall, I really enjoyed trying out the Eve Lom Cleansing Balm and in all honesty I can understand why it's award-winning and coveted by vogue. My skin was left feeling supple, decongested and considerably brighter after using it each night. I'm still undecided on whether it will be my next purchase, but it's definitely left a good impression overall. It would be great if Eve Lom maybe looked into the Mineral Oil content, as a lot of competitor's don't use this ingredient and I feel like the Eve Lom is just as good (It was the first ever cleansing balm), but perhaps might not be as welcomed by modern day skincare enthusiasts, who are opposed to a high mineral oil content.

I'm currently using another Eve Lom cleanser, which is pretty similar! However, that will be coming up soon on another skincare related post. I hope you all enjoy the rest of your week and I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments section below

LUSH Valentine's Day 2016 - Lots of Love Review ❤

LUSH Lots of Love Review

Hello my lovelies!
Happy Sunday! I'm back today with a bit of LUSH goodness and we all need it at some point in our lives ha ha! I was left feeling a little down and out that I didn't get a chance to snap up any goodies in the LUSH sale, so I decided to show myself a little love and treat myself to the LUSH "Lots of Love" gift box. I had to seriously fight the temptation not to use one of the goodies, but I was a good blogger for you all! I've also been really under the weather the past week and have had swollen glands combined with a pretty nasty cold, but I managed to fight myself through what was at times a very stressful week. Anyway, without further a do I will save you my sob story ha! and let you enjoy some LUSH goodness. PS - Can you believe I broke my unicorn horn whilst taking pictures of it! I hope you enjoy this post lovelies and I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments section below.
LUSH Lots of Love Review
I've been eyeing up this beauty since it first became available and after a pretty strenuous week, I decided to show myself Lots of Love ;) by purchasing this gorgeous gift box. It's described as being seductively soothing and contains six LUSH products that are perfect to prep for a date or simply to have a romantic and extremely relaxing bath. So what's inside?
LUSH Lots of Love Review
Can you believe I broke the Unicorn Horn photographing it! I'm still not over it yet #bloggerprobs. Anyhoo! Let's just appreciate the beauty of The Unicorn Horn. It's truly magical in appearance and scent and will make the perfect bath-time buddy. It contains lavender oil and neroil oil, which increases serotonin levels in the brain which helps to make us feel contented and cheery (sounds good to me) - I'm so excited to use this.
LUSH Lots of Love Review
Next up we have the "Lover Lamp" bath bomb, which is described as being a heavenly moisturising bath bomb that uses fair trade organic cocoa butter, vanilla absolute and Brazilian orange oil to lift your mood and soften your skin. I've never tried this Bath Bomb before, so I'm hoping this will be one I fall in love with!
LUSH Lots of Love Review
Who else loves this bubble bar? If you're a lover of herbal scents then this lovely mixture of rosemary and lavender is the very best way to wash away all your worries! I've used this product a few times before and it has always left me feeling utterly relaxed and at peace.
LUSH Lots of Love Review
Anyone who knows me well will know that Rose Jam is my all time favourite LUSH scent. It's sweet, but so uplifting and honestly if I'm not feeling great it can make my day! Rose Jam combines lemon, rose and geranium oil, which are all mood enhancing. The bubbles are obviously amazing (likewise with the bubble bars) but this is my personal favourite. Plus it's Pink ;)
LUSH Lots of Love Review
Tisty Tosty is described as being an enchanting love spell and is based on a medieval love potion. The combination of real rosebuds, orris root powder rose and lemon help to give it a spellbinding fragrance. I'm yet to try this love potion, but I'm a huge lover of rose... so it must be a winner?!
LUSH Lots of Love Review
Sex Bomb has definitely got a bit of a cult status when it comes to LUSH products. I've always really enjoyed using it and it's fragrant blend of jasmine, ylang ylang and clary sage is great to ease away stress and anxiety.
LUSH Lots of Love Review
I'm SO happy with the Lush Lots of Love Gift Box! I think it contains the perfect combination of sweet and more sensual treats and will definitely keep your bath-time fun for quite a while. I'm so excited to start using these goodies and I think I'm going to make a start with the Lover Lamp Bath Bomb and maybe a little bit of the unicorn horn too!

I hope you've enjoyed this post my loves and I would love to hear your thoughts below - Does this sound like a gift set you would like to receive for Valentine's day... or maybe just do me and treat yourself ha ha!

Shoe Trends For 2016 ❤

Hello my lovelies!
I hope you’re all doing well? One of my 2016 resolutions is to expand and diversify my blog, so this week I thought I’d do something a little bit different. It's a new year and that means it's time for a new challenge! I definitely want to focus more on adding fashion and lifestyle posts into my blog, as I've grown up surrounded by fashion! My oldest sister actually attended the coveted London College of Fashion and I used to love nothing more than looking through her amazing sketch books as a little girl. Now when it comes to preparing an outfit I definitely like to consider my shoe game! If you're like me and in need of a few new styles to add to your collection this year, here are a few popular looks to start with in 2016. I hope you enjoy this post lovelies and I would love to hear from you in the comments section below. You can also use my social icons, if you would like to get in contact a little bit quicker.

(L-R) Michael Kors - Valentino - Debenhams

Kitten Heels
According to Cosmopolitan.com writer Nikki Kinstlinger, kitten heels are back in a big way this season. You can find these comfortable and feet-friendly varieties with slim and chunky heels, both of which should balance out the proportion of your ankles and calves. I know they're not for everyone, but they're definitely a life saver if you want a slight lift without the worry of a killer heel. A thicker kitten heel is also a great way to make your calves appear more streamlined. Closed-toe kitten heels are also a great option and you can wear them while things are chilly. Or, why not go ahead and grab them in a strappy sandal, which can create such a effortlessly sexy look (I'm currently lusting after the Valentino Rockstuds in a kitten heel).

(L-R) River island - Quiz - Jimmy Choo

Thigh-High Boots
If you're looking to make a lasting impression, a pair of sexy thigh-highs, also known as over-the-knee boots, are the way to go. Using the different designer looks on Lyst.ca as a guide, you can see how many of the top names in the industry are embracing the trend. From Steve Madden and Stuart Weitzman, to Jimmy Choo and Dolce & Gabbana, you pretty much have your choice of name brands, as well as high street too.  Most of them are matching the cold weather with dark colours and suede fabrics, but some are using leather for an edgier finish. The overall look of them is seriously sexy and I will definitely be looking to invest in a pair myself for 2016!

(L-R) Adidas - Nike - Puma

Sporty Sneakers
You need a pair of these for two reasons. First, a cute pair can help you nail the athleisure trend (I'm currently trying to give this a go with my Roche Ones). And second, if your New Year's resolution list looks anything like mine, they will definitely work to hopefully inspire you to get fitter in 2016. Another look worth checking out for 2016 is a pair of solid color Keds for a much more versatile look. Taylor Swift wears these and she makes them look super stylish (Her Champion Glitters look amazing), but I'm still working on wearing trainers along with my day to day outfits. You can also kick it up a notch with some Pumas. I also love Kylie Jenner's black suede style with a hot pink stripe, which adds a pop of colour. Hollywoodlife also have amazing tips on how to rock them perfectly for the gym or running errands, as well as creating a more edgy look too!

After looking at styles for 2016... I can definitely see myself trying out all three styles. I'm especially looking to try the more sporty/casual look for my down days or when I'm just heading to town. I would love to know what kind of style of shoe you're looking to try in 2016

6 Organisation Tips For 2016 ✓ & GIVEAWAY!

Hello My Lovelies!
Hope you've all had a great weekend? I must admit I was a little upset when I woke up to no snow, especially as I'm now equipped with a pair of new cute walking boots! Tonight's post is going to follow a similar theme to my '6 Blogger Apps You Need For 2016' which was really successful. I was honestly so happy to see that post do so well, as I'm often put off by stepping outside my comfort zone. I've had a few other requests for these types of posts, so I'm going to try and stagger them throughout the year. Today's post is going to be focused on organisation tips, which I'm hoping will be useful. I'm by no means miss super organised, but there are a few tips that have helped me along the way both with my blog and at work... plus there's an exciting giveaway below! I've collaborated with The Bloggers Planner, who honestly make the most beautiful blogger planners and notebooks! If you haven't heard of them then make sure you check them out and also don't forget to enter my giveaway for a chance to win a personalised a6 to do notebook, which is the perfect handbag size! I would love to hear your thoughts on this post, so please leave your comments and links below.

Tackle one thing at a time
I'm sure most of us remember a time where we tried to take a billion things on at once (I sure do) but a great way to get and also to feel more organised is by writing a good old 'To Do List' and prioritising one thing at a time, it will definitely cut out some chaos!

Do the hardest things first
This is something I've learnt from work! Where possible tackle your toughest task first, as this will give you a far more positive outlook on the rest of the day, opposed to making the day seem like an uphill struggle. Sometimes the hardest thing to overcome is the battle you have with your mind, as it's very easy to feel overwhelmed by a list of hard tasks!

Utilize Creative Time
Naturally, there will be times where you feel uber creative and could easily get three blog posts written up (as an example) 100% utilise this time, as you will be thankful when you're having a bit of a lull. The same for work and at home... sometimes 15 minutes can be more productive than an hour!

Take Note
I honestly don't think anything will ever beat a good old to do list! Not everyone gets along with planners, but a simple notepad, or desk organiser can easily do the trick when it comes to feeling more organised. The satisfaction of ticking something off your list is always rewarding!

Take a break
Taking a break is important for SO many reasons. Whether it's a break from blogging or even just getting up from your desk at work and taking a few minutes out. I always say it's okay not to be okay and the most important thing is to know yourself well enough to understand when you need to take time out. I always try to schedule a "catch up day" where i organise all the things that have been on my mind throughout the week (usually e-mails) but I try to combine it with something fun like a mini pamper routine whilst I'm doing it :)

Stay Hydrated - Take Care Of Yourself
I sometimes trick myself into thinking that four black coffees will save by day, but the reality is that it actually doesn't at all. Keeping hydrated is the best way to keep on your A game and there are so many amazing infusions you can try to make your water a lot more appealing! This is where Pinterest comes in handy :)

I'm super excited to be able to offer one of my amazing readers the chance to win a super cute To Do List Notebook by The Bloggers Planner (See exact notebook here) You will be able to customise the front page and it will definitely help you to up your Organisation game in 2016 - Good Luck!

Clinique Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief Review ❤

Hello my lovelies!
Hope you're all doing well and looking forward to the weekend? I'm actually in work tomorrow, so I haven't quite got that Friday Feeling, but I'm definitely glad to be home sat by the log fire! As a few of you may know I’m a total skincare junkie and love nothing more than pampering my skin. However, out of all the different types of skincare product over the years I’ve found that moisturisers are the hardest product for me to fall in love with. I like a lot, but there aren’t many that have really stood out to me apart from the Origins Make a Difference Plus moisturiser and now the Clinique Moisture Surge Thirst Treatment! I’m really excited to tell you all my thoughts on this product and I hope it will help you out, if you’re searching for a new moisturiser to love! I would love to hear from you in the comments section below and feel free to use my social icons if you would like to get in touch with me a little quicker.
Clinique Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief Review
I first tried the Clinique Moisture Surge Extended Thrist Relief in a generous sample size that came in a gift with purchase, which I actually reviewed here. I pretty much knew from first use that this moisturiser was right up my street, as I do love a cream-gel consistency. My main concern is dehydration, so I tend to like the feel of a cream-gel formula as they feel very refreshing and hydrating on the skin. The product itself is described as a light, comfortable cream/gel that plumps skin with hydration for a full 24 hours. It aims to reduce fine lines, flakiness and tightness and leaves your skin feeling supple, firm and hydrated. I’ve been using it solely as my moisturiser, but it can actually be used for a midday boost (tapped over makeup) or as a 5-minute hydration mask!

I must admit that I’ve found all of Clinique’s claims to be totally on point for this product! My skin is instantly hydrated after use and it’s an absolute dream to apply makeup over. It really does smooth and plump your complexion, which definitely makes you feel and look better straight after use. I’m so impressed with this moisturiser and even Daniel will use this when his skin is a little dry… You know it’s a winner when you can get the boyf hooked ha ha!.

Overall, if you’re looking for an oil-free moisturiser to boost hydration then this product is a really good place to start, especially if you’re looking for a moisturiser that sits very well under your make-up. I also have to mention it’s super pretty packaging, which is equally robust and just adds to the overall fabulousness of this moisturiser. It has a huge thumbs up from me and it's replaced my Origins Make a Difference Plus in my daily skincare routine. If you would like to see a comparison, please let me know in the comments below.

6 Holy Grail Foundations | Part 1 | #JewelInTheCity Collab ❤

Hello my loves!
Hope you’ve all had a lovely weekend? Today’spost is going to be a collaboration with my truly fabulous friend and fellowblogger Aislinn (lippyinthecity) We’re going to be talking about our three HolyGrail Foundations and Part 2 is live over at lippyinthecity! Iwould LOVE for you to pop over to Aislinn’s blog and check out her topthree foundation picks! We're both complete beauty junkies and love nothing more than catching up on our new favourite products, as well as going through eachother's make-up bags during our work break! I hope you enjoy this post my loves and I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments section below! Don't forget to leave your links too, as I love checking out new blogs and commenting on them in my spare time. You can also use my social links to get in touch if you'd like a quicker response.
If you’re a regular reader you will already know my undying love for this foundation! No words can describe how beautiful this foundation is and I’m yet to find a foundation that replicates real skin in such a perfect way! I love that it's water-based, as this gives it a lovely light and hydrating feel, that makes your skin feel calm and at ease. It also has quite a velvety finish, which means that it's not too matte nor luminous, It's just rightI’m currently on my 9th bottle and have been using this foundation since I was 16! Sometimes I venture away from it, but in all honesty it has me running back for more every single time. If you covet perfected skin without a huge amount of coverage, but enough to cover the majority of minor skin concerns... then this could be right up your street! In terms of shade range I go between a B20/B30 which are both suitable of light/medium skin tones with a neutral undertone.

This foundation has featured on my blog quite a lot recently and I first purchased it in July 2015 after having it used onme in a NARS make-over. I was truly astonished that it stayed put from 2pm inthe afternoon until 2am, which included lots of drinking and dancing! I wasn't really expecting to like it as a daily foundation though, as It’s completely different to my beloved Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua. The coverage is medium/full, but I have never come across such a natural looking medium/full coverage foundation in all my life! It has killer staying power, killer coverage and a killer shade range. I didn’t think it would be possible to better Sheer Glow, but for me this is easily on par (if not a smidge better) I love to wear this to work, as I work in a busy marketing/hospitality environment and I can really rely on it to stick around. I wear the shade 'Punjab' which is slightly more yellow toned and suitable for a medium skintone. I would also say that this foundation is suitable for the majority of skin types, when I'm a little more dry I tend to pop a little ANRII for a moisture boost. I’ve actually just ordered my second bottle and I will be doing a full review on it when it arrives!

The YSL Le Teint Touche Eclat is also a veteran in my foundation collection and I’ve probably used it on and off for agood 3/4 years. Besides looking beautiful it really is beautiful and it has always been my go to foundation when I’ve truly needed a pick me up. It’s a very radiant foundation (without being ott) with a lovely gel like texture that feels so refreshing on the skin. I wear a B30, which is great shade for anyone with light/medium skin  with yellow undertones! I will always pick this one up if I'm feeling a little under the weather, as it definitely cheats that coveted 'glow from within look' - It's definitely best suited to dry/normal skin types, but I'm actually normal combination and I've never had a problem with this foundation (plus a little powder here and there never hurt nobody)

I hope you've enjoyed this post lovelies! I'm definitely doing my best to change up my content and what better way than to do a collab post with one of my best friends! It would be amazing if you could pop over to Aislinn's blog for Part 2 and show her some love, as she's really such a lovely girl and a great blogger too!

Lots of Love
