6 WOW Cleansers For 2016 ❤

Hello My Loves!
Hope you're all doing well? I'm sure most of my readers will know I'm a bit of a skincare junkie and I love nothing more than giving my skin a good old pamper. I thought I would put together 6 of my favourite cleansers that really have made a difference to my skin in one way or another. I'm by no means a skincare expert, especially as our skin types vary so much! I have had some skincare training though and my skin tends to be normal most of the time, but will fluctuate to normal-combination at times. I must admit these pictures looked a lot better on camera than they now do on screen, so I hope you don't mind if the pictures aren't quite as crisp. I hope you enjoy this post lovelies and I would love to hear from you in the comments section below. You can also contact me via my social media icons if you would like a much quicker response.

After recently making a beauty order, I was super excited to see that I had also received a super generous sample of the Eve Lom Morning Time Cleanser! With the cult status that the cleansing balm holds (review below), I was excited to try this out and it’s official I love it and actually prefer it to the cleansing balm, and as far as I can see it doesn't contain mineral oil like the balm. The Morning Time Cleanser is described as being a lightweight balm that helps to decongest and invigorate morning skin. Papaya enzyme extract and carrot oil help to make this morning balm a quick and easy way to banish sluggish morning skin. Despite being the newest addition to my skincare routine, it has definitely become a go to cleanser for when I really need my skin to look its best.

Who doesn’t love this?! I’m pretty convinced I will keep the Garnier Micellar Water in my routine for the rest of my life. Sometimes I use it as a pre cleanser, a quick cleanser or simply just to freshen up my face! Its worth it’s weight in gold and I can 100% rely on this Micellar cleanser to leave my skin feeling smooth and clean without any residue in sight.

The Sunday Riley Blue Moon Cleansing Balm is the most expensive cleansing balm I have ever used, but I’m definitely happy to have it in my collection. It’s a luxurious blue (how cool is that) balm, which smells like Terry’s Chocolate Orange and leaves your skin feeling like it would after a series of 6 facials. It's definitely the cleanser I go to when I'm looking for a special treat! The only slight issue with this balm is the texture isn’t quite as workable, as you might expect for it’s price! I call it the “Cult” one because for me it really is. It’s expensive, but out of all the cleansers in this post I would recommend this one the most. It leaves skin nourished, settled and just really happy looking! It’s quite oily, which makes the texture very workable and luxurious to touch. Nothing balances my skin like this cleansing balm and It really is a WOW cleanser for me.

I was lucky to receive this as part of a beauty box and after dabbling in Murad a few times before, I was excited to be able to try a new product. However, I was dubious as to be honest exfoliating my skin is not my favourite part of my routine! Nothing annoys me more than thinking your face is clean and then realising you haven’t quite removed all the scrubby bits! However, this exfoliating cleanser has well and truly sealed itself a place in my daily routine. It feels mostly like a cleanser, but the addition of jojoba beads help to gently polish, exfoliate and smooths skin whilst boosting hydration. Other key ingredients include salicylic, lactic and glycolic acids, which also help to improve brightness and cell-turnover by dissolving dead skin cell build up. I would seriously recommend this if your in the market for a no fuss exfoliator!

There really isn’t anything like an oil cleanser for removing make-up and I kinda feel a little late to the party with this one, but The Body Shop Silky Cleansing Oil has well and truly lived up to it’s hype. For under £15 you get the feeling of a cleanser that would be much more expensive and most importantly it dissolves dirt and make-up like no other!
I hope you've enjoyed reading this post my lovelies. All the cleansers mentioned above I truly love and would personally recommend. I would love to hear your thoughts below! Have you used any of the above or are there any that you like the sound of - I'm also more than happy to give you more information on the cleansers, as I know a few of the cleansers are pretty pricey and wouldn't want you to purchase something that might not quite be right.

Lots of Love

  1. The Garnier Micellar Water is still my favourite! I have been using it since it was released and it just works so well for my skin. I try to stay away from really oil based ones as i have quite oily skin and don't want anything that will highlight that x

  4. I love the Emma Hardie one and I used to use the Eve Lom a couple years back. Totally forgot about that gem. I'd love to try Blue Moon but I'm not sure I'm a fan of a chocolate orangey based scent. Spiezia Organics Facial Cleanser is a really luxe balm to try. :)
