Hello My Loves!
Hope you're all keeping well? I must admit I've been struggling with a little bit of bloggers block the past week, so I'm hoping I can get back into the swing of things again soon! I've only had one day off this weekend and I have a super busy week ahead, so I'm just chilling out with some Herbal Tea at the moment! Now, I know you’ve probably seen these little beauties around the blogosphere already, but I just had to share my two cents. In short, they’re blooming marvellous and have me in quite a nostalgic state! I used to love a good old Juicy Tube and with Lisa Eldridge as new creative director for Lancôme; I’m really excited to see what other releases are in the pipeline. I must admit I’m a little behind on the whole lip oil thing, as I’ve been religiously wearing lipstick over the past few months and not really opting for any other conditioning product apart from my NUXE reve de miel balm. I was lucky enough to be sent two of the new Juicy Shakers to try and I honestly haven’t been able to put them down, especially “Freedom of Peach” which in the tube looks like a super fun neon shade. They’re just so much fun and they look like a cocktail shaker, what more could a beauty lover ask for?
Firstly, I have to mention the applicator which is a tapered sponge and after giving it a bit of a funny first look; it’s safe to say I’m in love with the applicator. It allows you to get the perfect amount of product, but the tipped end gives you option for some precision too. I can apply both of these shades without a mirror, which makes these great for work or quick outings! Moving onto the formula… The bottom half of the shaker contains a bi-phase oil which contains cranberry oil, omega 3 and sweet almond oil too. The pigmentation is sheer, but enough to add a tint to your lips, which I actually really like. They aren’t the most long lasting to be honest, but I quite like to re-apply throughout the day, so for me personally it’s not a huge issue. My favourite shade is definitely “Freedom of Peach” (R)which gives a gorgeous light coral stain to the lips that is noticeable after two swipes. I also really like "Apricute" (L)which is a darker orange shade that I’m going to try out when I’m a little more tan. The texture is smooth and non-sticky and you’re greeted by a fruity cocktail-esq fragrance on application, which does transport me back to the days where Juicy Tubes ruled the world.Overall
These are so fun! At £18 they are probably not a must have, but they’re the kinda product that would cheer you if you had one in your make-up bag. I can definitely understand the hype around them and I love nothing more than giving mine a little shake and applying throughout the day. The colour pay off isn’t amazing, but I can see these being suited to more of a casual outing or work! I personally find these more comfortable to wear than Juicy Tubes, which can be quite gloopy if you over apply. However, I think both are fantastic and the Juicy Shakers are a fun new addition to the Lancome line up!
I hope you've enjoyed this post my loves and I would love to hear your thoughts below! Have you tried these, or will you be giving into the hype soon?
Lots of Love
