8 Lip products to try this summer ☀

Hello my lovelies!
Hope you're all keeping well and that you've had a lovely weekend? Now usually I do get a case of the "Sunday Blues" but actually I've had a lovely Sunday, and I'm feeling pretty relaxed ahead of my six day week. I know I've been a little quiet on the blog, but the past week I've been pretty unwell, as well as going through a really busy spell at work. We are heading into our event season and it's all systems go! Anyhoo, today I'm going to be talking about some of my favourite lipsticks for Spring/Summer and I've included a combination of brights and nudes, as I know bright shades aren't for everyone. I hope you enjoy this post my loves and I would love to hear from you in the comments section below. Don't forget you can also contact me via my social media icons to the right hand side!

(Clockwise)

First up we have the Lancome Juicy Shakers and you may have seen my recent review on these little cuties, but I'm totally obsessed by them. I have the shade Apricute; a dark Orange and Freedom of Peach; a neon Pinky/Peach shade. They both have a light colour pay off, but as they're lip oils they help to keep your lips hydrated whilst adding a touch of sass too! Plus how cute is the cocktail shaker esque packaging, They're just made for Summer. Moijito please!

Matte Magenta by Clinique is a gorgeous bright pink that is blue toned. It's honestly the most comfortable Matte formula that I have tried so far. It's a pretty out there shade in the bullet, but not so much that it's hard to pull off or wear during the day! I love bright Pink shades during the summer, as they're super fun and a great way to pick up a subtle look or outfit.

The Pinky/Nude/Peach shade of dreams. Bitch Perfect has definitely made a name for itself in the beauty world and for good reason too! Aside from it's sassy name, it's actually a gorgeous Summer shade that can be worn with ANY look. Light-diffusing pigments give the lips a luminous, plump and multi-dimensional look, as well as having a lovely smooth and buildable formula. If you use liner and gloss with Bitch Perfect, you can easily transform it into an evening shade too! It's so versatile.
I think this is up there with the Chanel VA Foundation, in terms of how many times I've mentioned it on my blog and social media (sorry), but believe me it's that good. If you're looking for a vivid Orange toned Red then "Lana" is your lady. Everything from texture to staying power, and the super satisfying clicky magnetic packaging make this Lipstick a total summer siren!

I would say this is the shade I'm pretty much always reaching for at the moment. It's a pretty Nudey Peach, with a gorgeous oil and pigment blend. I find this shade to be pretty hydrating and a great option for a more traditional peachy/bronze summertime look!

Penelope Pink may not be an obvious choice for summer, but it's slightly dusky and brownish Pink tones make it a very pretty and flattering shade for the nude lovers amongst us. Like Bitch Perfect it has a dreamy formula and instantly makes your lips look plumper, with its light enhancing pigments. It also works really well in the evening against dusky eye makeup, it would be great for an evening party or a low maintenance shade for a summer BBQ!
I would say that Cecile is best described as being a pretty Rosewood shade, that defintiely makes greeny/blue eyes pop! With a beautiful texture and medium colour pay off, I would say that this is one of the most comfortable formula's I own. I love wearing this shade with natural make-up, it's so pretty if you want to emphasise your eye colour.

I was introduced to Laqa & Co. when I subscribed to Birchbox briefly and it's become a real go to lip/cheek product for me. I travel a lot, so sometimes its nice to condense down my collection and take products with me that have dual use! "Humble Brag" is a mid toned Berry pink, which I find really flattering and a great option for a more subtle pink, if i'm not feeling quite so "Matte Magenta"
I hope you've enjoyed this post lovelies! You know I love to have a good old chat about lipsticks, so I would love to hear all about your summertime favourites? Are you bright or nude?

Lots of love

What's New | Beauty Haul ❤

Hello my lovelies!
I hope you’ve all had a fantastic weekend? I’m seriously wishing it wasn’t Sunday right now and could do with another day off! However, I’ve had a lovely day and even managed to squeeze in a very tasty BBQ with Daniel, so my Sunday blues aren’t too bad right now. I also wanted to share a few new beauty products that I’ve picked up myself and been sent, so I hope you enjoy seeing what’s new in my beauty collection. I was originally going to post my evening skincare routine today, but I honestly didn't realise how long it would take me to write out, so right now it's a working progress. I'm hoping to get in live by next weekend, so keep checking back if you want to see my evening routine and also how it helps to ease my anxiety.
I recently blogged about this little beauty gadget here, but I thought I would add it into my Haul as it is new, and something I’m really loving. It’s a lot gentler than some of the other cleansing systems I have, plus it’s super cute and amazing to travel with! It does have a limited life span of 100 uses, but at under £30 it’s a great way to try out sonic cleansing at a more affordable price!

I’ve been on the hunt for some new brushes for quite a while, but have kept putting it off. A little while back I spotted the super quirky and gorgeous mermaid collection by Spectrum, which sadly was and still is sold out. Last week I thought I would check out their website again and came across the BEAUTIFUL Marbelous collection! White & Rose Gold is my idea of heaven, so as you can imagine I had to add these to my online basket! I haven’t used them yet, but they’re the softest brushes I’ve felt, so I’ve got high expectations. I mean is it even okay to use something so pretty? Ha!

I thought I would group these two together, as they’re definitely a dynamic duo. I feel totally late to the party with these, as they’ve been raved about in the blogosphere for as long as I can remember! I suppose I kept putting it off, as I have quite a large collection already. I did try the Oskia Renaissance Cleansing Gel in a small sample size before, but never really got to use it enough to see if I really liked it. It’s funny what 15% off and a glass of white wine can do to a beauty-obsessed blogger! I’ve used these a handful of times and so far so good, but I will definitely update you once I’ve had a chance to properly use them.

I popped into Superdrug the other day just to stock up on ibuprofen, as I walked through the door I saw a big stand with the Superdrug Simply Pure Hydrating Serum at under £3, so I instantly picked it up and put it in my basket. I tend to pay £50+ for serums, so after finding out it has tons of amazing media reviews, I'm hoping this could be the bargain of the year! It’s not anti ageing, but more of a hydrating serum, which will be fantastic for my dehydrated skin.
My ANR II has become a real staple in my skincare routine. I notice such a huge difference when I stop using it, so I instantly repurchased, as I ran out of my 50ml bottle. Look Fantastic had a great gift set where you get 30ml of ANR II which is £50 on it’s own, but also a good size sample of the ANR Eye cream & their well loved Advanced Time Zone cream too All for £50. I’ve wanted to try the ANR eye cream for ages, so this seemed like a good gift set to purchase. The 50ml bottle has lasted me over a year, so I’m sure the 30ml will keep me going until Christmas! I can't seem to find this gift set on Look Fantastic at the moment, but there are similar options.

I was lucky enough to be sent the Vita Liberata Marula Dry Oil Self Tan and I'm super excited to try it out. It's the world's only self tan with an impressive SPF50. It gives a gradual tan for up to 10 days with buildable colour. East African Marula Oil is 4x more hydrating than Argan Oil with 4x more Vitamin C than Tahitian Monoi Oil, so I have pretty high hopes for this! I will be writing about this within the next few weeks, so keep an eye on my social media if you're interested to find out more!
I hope you've enjoyed this post lovelies and I would love to hear from you in the comments section below. Have you or would you like to try anything from today's post? If you would like to see any specific reviews please let me know!

Have a lovely week!

Lots of Love

FOREO LUNA Play Review ❤

Hello My Lovelies!
Hope you're all keeping well? I'm enjoying my last day off before going back to work tomorrow and decided to get my blog on, as I'm going to be super busy over the next two weeks. I've been really excited to write this post up, as I love anything to do with skincare and the Foreo Cleansing Systems have had nothing but glowing reviews since first coming out. I've held off purchasing one due to already owning to other cleansing devices, but when I found out about the LUNA Play, I just had to take the plunge and see what this little beauty was all about. I hope you enjoy this review lovelies and I would love to hear from you in the comments section below. You can also use my social media Icons to get in touch if you have any specific questions, or just fancy a chat!
I pretty much live and breathe skincare, I'm genuinely so interested in the anatomy of the skin and how various products, textures and equipment can influence your skins natural equilibrium. In terms of sonic cleansing systems prior to the Foreo Luna Play I had used systems from Michael Todd & Clarisonic, both being fantastic... but nowhere near as cute, effective and hygienic as the Foreo Luna Play. I would definitely class myself as a skincare junkie, so the look of the Foreo cleansing systems has always appealed to me, but I suppose I never felt the need to spend £90+ on the larger Foreo, as I already had cleansing devices to use.

Described as being an ultra-gentle yet seriously effective way to enhance your everyday skin care ritual, the super-cute LUNA Play generates 8000 T-Sonic pulsations per minute to help eliminate toxins and enhance the efficiency of your cleanser. The LUNA Play is made from super soft silicone, which ensures that the skin is never at risk of being damaged in comparison to some nylon bristles, which can aggravate the skin if over used. The LUNA play has 2-zone facial brush features with finer touch-points which cleanse more sensitive skin on larger areas like the cheeks and forehead, while the thicker touch-points provide a deep and precise cleanse on areas like the T-zone. Foreo systems are also up to 35 times for hygienic, as well as removing up to 99.5% of dirt and oil, making this little beauty the perfect way to perfect your complexion without stripping or aggravating your skin.
I have to admit I'm beyond obsessed with this super mini LUNA Play. It's a breath of fresh air and the fact that it's £29 makes it a much more affordable way to try out sonic cleansing. It's pretty dinky (around the size of a cotton pad) but my god does it pack a punch. I've also read a lot of reviews saying that the Play is actually just as effective as the larger LUNA systems which are over £100! The main limitation with this product is the fact that it's NOT rechargeable and has an approximate life of 100, one minutes uses. If used 2-3 times a week you could probably get 10+ months out of this, but I'm using it at least 4 times a week at the moment. Even though it does have a limited life, I do think it's worth trying out as my skin is looking so much healthier at the moment. I actually went shopping without an ounce of make-up on today, not even mascara! It also comes in an array of beautiful colours, which makes this product even more enabling! It's just do damn cute, but mighty effective too.

I would love to hear your thoughts - Are you tempted by the Foreo LUNA Play?

Lots of Love

Lancôme Energie de Vie Liquid Moisturiser Review #MadeOfEnergy

Hello my lovelies!
I hope you're all keeping well? I've had a super busy, but fun birthday weekend and turning 24 doesn't feel that bad at all! Also a huge thank you for all the lovely messages that you sent me. Just under two weeks ago I came home to a little Lancôme surprise; their new Energie de Vie Liquid Moisturiser. I love me some skincare and actually I haven't tried a huge amount from Lancôme, even though I'm currently obsessed with everyone of their perfumes and their brand new Juicy Shakers. I hope you enjoy this initial thoughts kinda review and I would love to hear from you in the comments section below.
The Lancôme Energie de Vie Liquid Moisturiser (£28) has been designed for those leading an intense lifestyle (Hands up) which usually leads to tired, rough, dull or dry skin. Key ingredients include Goji Berry extract and Lemon Balm oil, which leave your skin looking energised, healthier, and hydrated. I have to mention that it smells amazing!! It smells almost exactly like a Lychee Martini, which I had at an event last week. Yum! This liquid moisturiser by Lancôme has been inspired by new Korean beauty technology, the liquid formula absorbs straight away similar to a serum like Estee Lauder ANR and leaves your skin ready for make-up application.

After using the Lancôme Energie de Vie Liquid Moisturiser for a week, I have to admit that I've really enjoyed using it. I much prefer a serum or gel texture, as I really don't like it when I can feel residue on my skin after using a more traditional moisturiser. My skin is definitely looking more plump after following the 7 day regime and some dryness I was experiencing on my nose has vanished! It has been compared to that healthy post gym glow you get, even though I haven't been much of a gym bunny lately, I totally get it. This moisturiser really does make you feel and look more alive and everything from it's scent to it's super lightweight texture make this Moisturiser a little powerhouse. I can see this becoming super popular and I will 100% be purchasing the full size and maybe the sleeping mask too!

I would love to hear from you below lovelies, would you consider trying this new type of moisturiser?

Lots of Love
