My Everyday Face ❤

Hello my lovelies!
Hope you're all keeping well? I must admit I love a Sunday and even more when it's a little bit overcast. It's been so humid recently, so I'm glad for a down day where I can just chill and blog. Don't get me wrong, blogging in the sunshine is just the best feeling. However, I definitely get more distracted when the weather is nicer! I'm also doing a lot of Snap Vlogging at the moment, so if you fancy a peek into my day to day life, as well as behind the scenes blogging then add me : JewelBeautyBlog. So, today I'm talking about my current everyday face! I've actually managed to nail down a regular routine, instead of swapping and changing products from my collection. These products give me the perfect medium coverage look, which is great for a busy day at the marketing office, plus it can totally last the night, which makes it great for work events or anything else I may be getting up to, which requires some sturdy coverage! I hope you enjoy this post lovelies and I would love to hear from you in the comments section below.

I was lucky to receive this as part of my Cult Beauty Summer Goody Bag, on a side note... oh my god it was amazing (see here) Anyhoo, I got this Becca Evermatte Poreless Primer which I'm currently obsessed by. Finally, a water based primer! I've always used silicone & oil base primers, but actually over half of my foundations are either water based or oil free. I've used some nice primers especially from Dermalogica, Laura Mercier and YSL to name a few, but in terms of actually keeping my make-up in place, I have genuinely not come across anything better. After moisturising this is the first thing I apply to start my beauty routine and it preps my skin perfectly for the day ahead.

Also a more recent acquisition, but I love it nonetheless. Depending on what kind of look I'm going for on that day, I will either mix with my Clinique Moisture Surge to create a luminous teint for those no make-up days, or if I'm tanning I tend to mix it in with my Clinique Even Better Foundation to  bring it up a shade. It's also great for blending down your neck or around any pesky area's that you need to quickly cover up. We've all been there right?!

There has definitely been a surge of Clinique into both my skincare & make-up routines, which is surprising as I for some reason thought it wasn't for me. A few of my friends have found it too harsh on their skin, but personally my skin loves the stuff and being the skin-care/make-up junkie that I am, I'm not one to deny my skin of what it wants. Once I'm all prepped and primed I apply this with a buffing brush and it covers my skin perfectly! It has such a nice medium coverage, which makes it a good option for busy days at work. It's designed to combat hyper-pigmentation and deliver brighter skin, both immediately and over time and has an SPF15 oil free formula!
Next up I use the Crayon De Sourcil, which is a semi permanent mineral brow pencil. The idea behind it is that it allows you to enhance the appearance of your brows by mimicking the appearance of tiny hairs for a natural-looking effect. The brow pencil itself contains cocoa butter, shea butter and bees wax to give your delicate skin a treat. It claims to be ‘semi permanent’ because it is transfer resistant and does not smudge. It has been my go to brow product for the past month, as it really does create flawless, structured brows that last!

I'm definitely a Chanel girl when it comes to my Mascara! I adore their Le Volume and Inimitable Mascara's. Whilst at Duty Free recently, I decided to try their new Dimensions De Chanel Mascara, which I'm really enjoying. It definitely does a bit of everything and gives my eyes the volume, length and the dimension that I need. It's also the best mascara I have used to layer! You can even add a coat on a few hours later and not have to worry about clumping or spider lashes.

I tend to go in and out of wearing eye-liner, but my current go to is the Kevin Aucoin Primatif in the shade Navy. It really makes my eyes pop without being too obvious. Sometimes I like to pop this on, especially if I'm working late for an event at work. It's a lovely transitional product to give yourself a little beauty boost!
A super full coverage concealer, which is perfect for a long day in the marketing office. I would say this is a little thicker than I would usually like to wear, but it's honestly so good at perfecting the whole eye area, without looking overly cakey. It also keeps pesky dark circles at bay!

This product needs no introduction. It's just life. I adore this and can rely on it to keep me looking glowy, healthy and on top of my game throughout the day. It is looking pretty battered, but that just goes to show how much I love it. I litreally take it everywhere I go!

Another staple from CT! This is my favourite everyday blush and I love how it combines both peach and pink tones to create a really natural glow. It's also pigmented enough to amp up your look.

Finally, on a day to day basis I like to go for a nudey pinky peach lip and the perfect way to achieve this for me personally, is by filling my lips in with the beautiful Charlotte Tilbury Lip Pencil in the shade Pillow Talk. I also find this the easiest shade to use if I want to slightly overline my lips! I usually end up looking like a clown, when I try with the likes of soar.

Once I have filled my lips in with Pillow Talk, I apply a few swipes of Penelope Pink onto my lips, which is a completely wearable Pinky Nude, and I'm ready for the day ahead!

I hope you enjoyed this post lovelies, it feels good to get back to my blog again. Don't forget to check out my 6 week fitness plan below, if you're interested to follow my weight loss and toning journey.

Lots of Love

Six Week Fitness Plan - The Celtic Manor Resort

Hello lovelies!
Hope you're all keeping well? I’m here today with an exciting (slightly daunting) personal post, which is going to be the start of what I have high hopes will be the return to the “old me”; someone who loved to exercise, but loved feeling good about myself and happy from within even more. Without going through a life story things haven’t been easy the past few years and stress, anxiety and struggling to sleep have definitely see my fitness routine go down the drain. I’ve always been a strong person, but for some reason instead of taking the option to try and burn my stress out in the gym, I decided to start eating more, drinking more and exercising less! Plus my marketing office is always full of delicious treats, and I do tend to over indulge in sweets, cake and copious amounts of black coffee on a stressful day.
I would say that I started to loose my way fitness wise in late 2014, early 2015 and before that time I fluctuated between 7 ½ - 8 ½ stone. I definitely felt most comfortable over 8 stone though, but recently I have gone up a dress size and have lost signs of toning and generally just feel uncomfortable in myself. Between the ages of 16 – 19 I was asked to model for a London agency, FHM and was was involved in various beauty pageants. I never pursued any of those opportunities, mainly because I was too shy! However, there is no denying that those offers made me feel good about myself and that my fitness regime was working and I knew that my fitness and energy levels were good. I’ve definitely lost that confidence recently and my mission is to get the old me back! I'm definitley at a point where I need to make a change in my life and I think getting back into a fitness regime will help me with more than just shaping up.
So, now my little ramble is out of the way… I can tell you a little more about my six week fitness plan at the Celtic Manor Resort* Having such a vast and versatile resort on my doorstep is a huge advantage and I actually used to attend the Forum Spa Gym before I even worked there! The Celtic Manor stands proud on the M4 corridor and really does have something for everyone. The six week plan (From £99) aims to get you heading back in the right direction and includes an induction, complimentary Tanita body report and regular consultations to ensure that you are comfortable and making good progress.

The Celtic Manor consists of two exclusive health clubs, which offer five star service, excellent benefits and a great line up of social events too. Both leisure clubs are fully equipped with leading fitness supplier Technogym, as well as the added benefit of a Wellness System, which allows members to have their own dedicated training programmed. To find out more information on their vast range of membership options, click here

Week 1: So, I'm week 1 into my six week fitness plan, which has mainly been a settling in period with an initial consultation and induction with my trainer Chris, as well as my Tanita Body Report. I must admit the Tanita Body Report definitely surprised me, but it was so interesting to see exactly what is going on in my body. My Metabolism has slowed right down and now is around 39 in age. Oh my god! but hey, I supposed you have to be brutally honest with yourself to really make progress. I also learnt that my body is quite dehydrated, which may be down to my excessive coffee addiction and the fact that over the last two years I have started to consume more alcohol. It may also be an indicator to why I feel quite sluggish all the time and why my mood can sometimes be quite low.

I have been to the gym four times within the past week, as well as going to two spin classes. I also have a Personal Training session scheduled for next Wednesday with my trainer Chris (who is fantastic), which I will be writing about in my next update. I've definitley noticed an improvement, which I think is a combination of eating cleaner over the past two weeks and also excercising.

I hope you have enjoyed this post, which is slightly different for me! I will be posting an update during Week 3, where I hope I will be able to share more results with you.

Lots of Love
