One of the main reasons I started this blog was due to my obsession with lipsticks and glosses! In school I would always head to the toilet on lunch breaks to re-apply my favourite lipstick/gloss of the day with my best friends... It was like a ritual! My Love for lipsticks has only got stronger and I'm super excited to share a new beauty with you today. Firstly lets thank the beautiful and talented Lisa Eldridge, who has taken over as creative director at Lancôme and has truly given the brand and it's products a new lease of life in my opinion #SLAY.
Firstly, lets address the packaging! Black & Gold will always be a winning combination for me, but far more cool than that is the click and pop technology, which makes this lipstick feel more like a secret weapon! It's extremely satisfying when you click the gold rose at the top of the bullet and before you know it your lipstick has popped out for you to use. The new range boasts and impressive 36 shades, with three different finishes, Sheer, Matte and Cream.
I was lucky to try two shades and formulations from the new collection, but I have decided to split the reviews as they are both very different, so keep an eye-out for that one! The lipstick in question is 202 Nuit & Jour, a shade that instantly appealed to me. I do love a sheer lipstick, as I find them great for work and have just enough colour to brighten up your complexion without going all out. Nuit & Jour is a true "Nude" in my opinion and leans both pinky/peachy, so really it should be a good option for everyone. It's a great everyday shade and not only that it glides on like a dream, it really does feel so smooth on your lips. I have to mention its scent also, as I was trying to work it out for a good few days! I personally think the lipstick smells a little like Parma Violets, which are my favourite sweets! Don't worry though, if you're not a fan of scents, these aren't overly powerful!
Overall, this exciting new collection from Lancôme is definitely something to check out and with Christmas just around the corner, why not treat yourself or someone special to one of these divine beauty gadgets! They do retail at £25.50, but keep an eye out for a few fab offers and discounts during December, especially the main department stores!
I hope you enjoyed this review lovelies! I've been home sick this week, so I've been able to think of lots of new content ideas and I would love for you to suggest anything that you would like to see on the blog.
Lots of Love
