Midnight Skin Saviours 馃寫

After all the indulgence of the festive season, wine, processo, nibbles, biscuits and a never ending supply of turkey, it's safe to say my skin is paying for it. However, it's lovely to spend time with my family and enjoy their company as I'm usually flitting around here there and everywhere. Being the skincare junkie that I am, I thought I would share three hero products that will take your skin from zero to hero in just one night, the perfect recipe for dehydrated and overindulged skin!

Whilst this product might be a little pricey, it works hand in hand with your skins natural regenerative processes to bring you smooth, plump and glowy skin. Moonlight Catalyst is a uniquely textured serum brimming with pumpkin enzymes along with 15 natural active ingredients, this serum gently exfoliates and eliminates pore-clogging debris as you sleep. I love that it also contains peach extract and organic neroli flower, which both help to soothe the skin, but also give this serum a gentle and comforting scent. Kypris are an awesome brand and I would really recommend you checking out their other products!

Despite this being a newbie within my skincare collection, I'm actually amazed at how immediate its have been and therefor had to mention it in this post. The Midnight Recovery Concentrate is a #1 best seller and promises fresher-feeling and toned skin by the morning. The formula is paraben-free and uses Lavender Essential Oil, Primrose Oil, and Kiehl's signature ingredient squalane to replenish your skin.

A firm favourite which has been in my routine for around five years now! ANR works its magic to reduce the look of all key signs of ageing through its exclusive ChronoluxCB™Technology. I also love the way that this can be used within your foundation to add extra hydration and it can also be used in the morning, so don't let the name fool you! If you're looking for a product that is tried and tested then look no further.

Temple Spa are in my opinion hugely underrated and along with Elemis were the first two brands that ignited my love for skincare. Temple Spa is sold in harrods and featured in the First Class Cabin on Emirates, do you need anymore convincing? Truffle Noir is a luxury anti-ageing moisturiser with black truffles, platinum and collagen boosters to provide around the clock rejuvenation. As you get older collagen and elastin naturally break down, which results in tired looking skin. Truffle Noir is the perfect antidote to unruly skin and has a gorgeous texture, which will make you feel like a million dollars. I've used this evening cream before, but was lucky to get a lovely sample as part of a gift set this Christmas.

Which one would you choose? I love them all and litreally would like to put one on after another. My skin is normal/combination, so if you would like anymore information on any of the products please comment below!

Hello Lovelies!
Long time no speak, but it seems like I say this far too much lately. After treating myself to a lovely pampering bath, I thought I would take to the blog to reflect as I haven't had a good old chat on here in such a long time. There is no doubt that I still love my blog, but I struggle to blog in the same way as I used to because of how it has all changed. I champion the opportunities blogging has given people (including myself) but I miss how relatable blogging used to be, almost like your favourite cosy blanket, no pressure just a safe and comfortable place you could call your own.

I think there is also an element of me that has changed, which is also making it increasingly harder to find my stride again. In recent years I've had to quickly adapt to out of the ordinary situations and on a day to day basis I work within a corporate sales and marketing environment, which is tough! As a result I feel that I've hardened up myself, which is of course good and bad. When I first started blogging I was really happy go lucky and a lot more naive. Now I'm far more opinionated and likely to speak out, which is good in the sense that I'm much better at sticking up for myself and not letting anyone take the you know what, but then I feel like I miss the innocence and naivety which allowed me to blog with so much positivity and love. I also worry that people who liked that person wont like the 'new' me as much, not that I'm a completely changed person... I just feel a little paranoid about my tone and how I come across on my blog these days.

A quote that has really resonated with me this year is this one by Dita Von Teese

“You can be the ripest, juiciest peach in the world, and there's still going to be somebody who hates peaches.”

My god, I've lost some sleep worrying about what people think of me and wondering why that person has an issue or doesn't appear to like me? I'm by no means perfect, but I'm not a bad person and I refuse to let anyone get me down in that way anymore. I genuinely think if someone has a deep rooted issue then there is sadly nothing you can do about it.

On a more positive note I was lucky to receive the camera of my dreams from my fiance this Christmas. the beautiful new and shiny Olympus Pen EPL8, which instantly ignited my desire to finally start vlogging. I went through a stage of 'snap vlogging' which I really enjoyed and I managed to get a small audience who genuinely wanted to see more! I then started to gain some weight due to stress, which made me even more camera shy. However, I'm finally starting to get some confidence back, which I hope will build day by day and will be able to help me power through my 2018 goals.

Due to being a total workaholic, I always have little projects on the go even when I'm not in work. I recently started Invest In Rest (DreamBoxUK) which is an exciting wellness initiative with a modern day twist, which will combine my love for beauty and skincare along with my love of wellbeing and mindfulness, so watch this space!

I'm not quite sure what 2018 has in store in regards to my blog, but I'm looking forward to figuring it out! You might even see a few vlogs in the near future.

Lanc么me L'Absolu Lip Glosses

Hey Lovelies, long time no speak! As a lot of my long term readers will know my blog started out as The Jewel Beauty Blog where pretty much all I talked about was pretty make-up, especially lipsticks and glosses. More recently I have changed the direction of my blog and have been focusing more on lifestyle, travel and well being. However, I'm not one to forget my 'roots' and I'm really excited to talk about some stunning new  Lanc么me lip glosses today!

Lanc么me is a brand that has become far more prominent in my make-up collection the past two years and I have noticed such a difference in their product range since the amazingly talented Lisa Eldridge became creative director. Lanc么me now lead when it comes to innovation in my eyes and they're always releasing new and exciting products.

I was lucky to be sent some new goodies to try recently and of course wanted to talk about these three stunning glosses first! I've always loved lip gloss, but like most people I'm not a fan of the gloopy formulations. However, there is no need to worry about that with these glosses, as they all have a dreamy consistency and a heavenly cushioned wand applicator!

Beige Muse is my idea of the perfect gloss shade; a beautiful pinky beige that can enhance pretty much any look and layer over pretty much any shade. It has a beautiful shimmer, which is undetectable on the lips (no grit) and a lovely non-sticky texture. I'm already obsessed with layering this over my Charlotte Tilbury Penelope Pink lip.

When I opened the packaging for Rose Caresse it was love at first sight! I love subtle pink shades, which look so pretty with a delicate smoked eye and a glowy base. I would say this is probably my favourite of the three, as the pigmentation is just right and like the others the formulation and application is effortless.

I must admit bright pink shades and matte lip products generally scare me off, but the L'Absolu Gloss Matte range offers an ultra-creamy texture with a high pigmentation and a velvet matte finish. I love that the finish has a velvety element too it and the shade is very brightening on the face. I probably won't reach for this everyday, but with a bunch of festive celebrations coming up, I think this will be the gloss I will be opting for.

Overall, I really do like these three glosses! They're different in finish, but all offer precise application , a non-sticky base and most importantly a good level of hydration!

Have you tried any Lanc么me products recently?

Travel: 5 Reasons To Visit Sicily

I've been lucky to visit many beautiful places in the world, but somehow Italy has escaped me, which is strange as I pretty much love everything about Italy... of course the pasta, but I have many great Italian Friends and I'm always in awe when I see friends and family's vacation pictures. A place in particular that has always interested me is Sicily; a real jewel in the Mediterranean just off the "toe" of Italy's boot. A few of you might know that I've been trying to incorporate more travel into my blog along with guides of places I've been, but also sharing new places I would love to visit in the future.

I've done my research and Sicily looks fascinating! With an array of cultural attractions, stunning beaches and sparkling water, what's not to love? I've also always been obsessed with mountains and it seems like Sicily has some of the best, especially its great volcanoes that symbolises the outstanding natural beauty of the charming region.

So here are my five reasons why I would like to visit Sicily in the near future

1 - Delicious Dining
Anyone who knows me will know I'm a total foodie! I love food and lots of it (hence why my diet isn't going too well) Italian cuisine has always been my favourite, I love everything from indulgent pasta dishes to fried calamari and grilled lobster. I actually found this fantastic dining article with some great suggestions, my mouth is watering!

2 - Stunning Scenery
I've grown up to really appreciate the natural beauty of nature and how it can do the world of good for you to experience new countries, it's true travel really does make you richer! Sicily has some truly majestic mountains, especially Mount Etna, which I would love to visit.

3 - Hotels & Villas
With a beautiful collection of rustic hotels and picturesque villas, I definitely feel like planning a last minute holiday to Sicily! Plus these gorgeous villas have views to die for. I can imagine a gorgeous family vaction/celebration, or even a romantic getaway!

4 - The City Of Palermo
A few friends of mine have passed through the capital city of Palermo and have told me about its rich mix of cultures including, Arabesque domes, souk-like markets, Gothic palaces and many other ancient sculptures. It's definitely a city I would like to visit if I visited Sicily.

5 - Authentic Shopping
Who doesn't love a little retail therapy here are there? Shopping in Sicily looks fantastic, a range of rustic markets combined with more modern day shopping malls. I love nothing more than popping into independent shops and stopping off for copious amounts of coffee when I'm in a vibrant new city!

Sicily seems like an amazing sightseeing destination and it's combination of history, unbelievable mountain ranges, vibrant eating and drinking along with a a balmy climate make it appealing all-year-round

Have you visited Sicily, or is it a place you would like to visit in the future?

The Perfect Sunday Soak

I’m almost sure that everyone gets a case of the Sunday Blues at some point. However, I’ve learnt that Sunday can actually be your most valuable day of the week. Don’t get me wrong; I still sometimes get that lingering feeling of wanting just one more day… but it’s all about crafting a routine that will reinstate a positive state of mind even if you do fall into a bit of a Sunday lull.

My Sunday Soak is one of my favourite parts of the weekend. I know that I can use that time to indulge in me, myself and I, which is actually quite a rarity for me. The best part of a Sunday Soak is that you can customise it totally to you! So I thought I would go ahead and share my routine with you and hopefully inspire you to take some time for yourself.

I start my Sunday Soak by giving myself an Aromatherapy Steam Facial, which allows you to completely de-clog your pores, as well as giving you a chance to unwind. It’s always best to lightly cleanse and exfoliate your skin before doing this, as steaming will draw out impurities that sit deeper within your pores. All you need to do is get yourself a bowl big enough to comfortably support your head, choose an aromatherapy oil (Lavender OR Eucalyptus are good ones to start with and can be found at Holland & Barrett) and finally add a spritz or two of your favourite toner. Place a towel over you head for ten minutes and gently inhale and exhale. Once you have completed this spritz some toner on a cotton pad just to remove any impurities that have risen to the top of your skin. My two favourite toners are the Elemis Soothing Apricot Toner and the Omorovicza Queen of Hungary Mist, which are both great for hydrating and re-balancing the skin.

Now that your skin is clean it’s a good time to pick a face mask that will address your skins needs. Why not try multi-masking if your skin is combination? A favourite of mine is the Origins Original Skin Mask, which is a 2-in1 clay mask made with Mediterranean Rose Clay, Canadian Willow Herb and exfoliating Jojoba beads that help to address the skins texture, clarity and install brightness back into your complexion. I also really like the LUSH Bunny Moon Jelly Face Mask, which is full of chamomile goodness and is a real winner for anyone with sensitive skin.

Face mask on. Check … it’s time to relax! I love making my bath as enjoyable as possible, so crumbling a delicious bubble bar or blitzing my bath with a bath bomb is a must. A current favourite of mine is the LUSH Man In The Moon Bubble Bar, which uses the power of Neroli and Lime to lift your mood in an instant. Cocoa butter and Olibanum oil also help to soften skin and your state of mind.

A good skincare routine can really go a long way in not only making your skin better, but also helping you to further relax. I always try to be mindful when doing my skincare routine, by taking time to appreciate the different scents and textures. Just a warning, I do go all out on a Sunday, so you might want to grab a hot drink if you wish to continue! Once my face mask is removed I give my face a final tone with my Elemis Soothing Apricot Toner, which restores balance after steaming and wearing a mask. I then apply my current serum the Kypris Moonlight Catalyst, a majestic serum that is brimming with pumpkin enzymes to accelerate your cells natural turnover, hello smooth and plump skin. I then follow up with my new love the ESPA Optimal Skin ProSerum an intensively nourishing serum that strengthens the skins’ natural moisture barrier, as well as using key ingredients to minimise signs of ageing, plus it smells ah-mazing and is also used within most professional ESPA facials. To add a final boost of moisture to my skin, I finish with a light layer of the Estee Lauder Revitalising Supreme+ Global Anti-Ageing Cell Power Cr猫me, a real powerhouse anti-ageing moisturiser that adds moisture, bounce, glow and radiant vitality to your skin. Finally, I treat my eyes to the Odacite Eye Contour Serum Concentrate which I have raved about many times on my blog, followed by my trusty Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Eye Cream

To finish off the perfect Sunday Soak, you need to remember to look after your body, which is something I forget most of the time! Take your favourite moisturiser and wrap yourself up in your favourite silky smooth cr猫me. My number one right now is the LUSH Sleepy Cream. It’s honestly sensational and makes me feel truly delicious! A gorgeous blend of Lavender and Tonka Bean not only makes your skin soft, but helps to induce a sleepy state of mind – Say goodbye to those Sunday blues!

A spritz of your favourite relaxing scent or pillow mist can really go a long way in helping you doze off. I adore the Elemis Temple Balm and the NEOM Organics Pillow Mist, which both set the scene for a lovely sleep. I know it’s not for everyone, but I couldn’t be without my Holistic Silk Eye Mask, which helps me to well and truly turn off.

This is the first blog post I've written in a little while and it feels great to be back and writing about something I love.

I would love to know what you do to relax on a Sunday?

Charlotte Tilbury Summer Haul

Who doesn't love a Tilbury Treat? I remember when I first purchased Charlotte Tilbury back in 2015 (view haul post) I was so amazed by her talent and her stunning range of products and kits. She really is one of the most talented ladies in the beauty industry! Over the past few years I have repurchased favourites from my initial haul such as her K.I.S.S.I.N.G lipsticks and her Goddess Skin Clay Mask, which is to die for! However, more recently I've been getting a surge of Charlotte Tilbury emails into my inbox with gorgeous new releases and quite simply I caved!
With my holiday to Dubai just 10 days away, I decided to repurchase a few old Tilbury favourites along with some exciting new releases to take with me! Firstly, I repurchased my two absolute favourite lipsticks from the K.I.S.S.I.N.G range (on the left) Bitch Perfect and (on the right) Penelope Pink. Bitch Perfect is just the most stunning lipstick, if you love pinky peachy tones then this is the ultimate shade, plus you gotta love the sassy name! - Penelope Pink is equally beautiful, but slightly more nude. It goes with every single make-up look you could imagine and it's my favourite shade for when I smoke things up on my eyes. I also love how the K.I.S.S.I.N.G formula visibly enhances and plumps your lips giving you the perfect pout all day everyday.

Next up a NEW Charlotte Tilbury product that I'm so hyped about already The Unisex Healthy Glow Hydrating Tint - I watched a YouTube review by Wayne Goss and he absolutely loved it and I mean really loved it... So obviously it went into my online cart. However, after ordering it I saw another review which didn't show it off as well and to be honest I was a little worried that I had wasted money on a product I probably didn't need. However, I can 100% say that Wayne was right and this is genuinely the closest product to achieving an Instagram filter effect on your bare skin. It is SO stunning. It comes out in a grey tint, which has a slightly gritty texture at first and as soon as you start to blend it into your skin you can see the pigment releasing as it magically morphs to suit your skin tone. I literally have so much to say about this product, but I'm going to keep that for a full in depth review!

Last but not least we have the Limited Edition Instant Look In A Palette in Beauty Glow. I've been looking for a full on multi-use palette for quite some time now and I felt like my prayers had been answered when I came across this stunning palette on the website. I opted for the shade Beauty Glow, which features a gorgeous array of rose gold and bronze tones. There are also two other shade selections, which means that there is a good choice for different skin tones and preferences. So far I love this palette! However, I am finding the Cheek Swish a little too dark to blend with my natural skin tone and no fake tan. I can already tell I'm going to get so much use of this palette though!

I hope you have enjoyed this haul/initial thoughts post. I would love to hear from you in the comments section below. Have you indulged in a Tilbury Treat recently?

Beautiful Bases

When it comes to make-up base and eyes are queen for me, everything else is a bonus! A flawless base and eye area can hide a multitude of sins... and yes I'm talking dark circles, blemishes and uneven pigmentation. Over the past year I've created a bit of a base wardrobe with go to products that fix me up time and time again.

Let's talk under eyes...
It's no secret that I'm not a good sleeper. It either takes me ages to drop off, or I wake up multiple times during the night, so my under-eye area is often a task for me first thing. A little while back I purchased the BECCA Under Eye Brightening Corrector and I've been hooked ever since. It's creamy pinky peach consistency neutralises the blue tones of dark circles and broken capillaries, whilst ultra-fine pearlescent particles subtly scatter light to brighten and enhance the under eye area. This really is an impressive corrector, considering its buttery texture it blends like a dream, is super long-waring and crease-resistant. It's the very best way to stay looking bright eyed and bushy tailed. Next up my old faithful the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer for under £4 this is hands down my favourite multi-use concealer. It works so well over the BECCA Under Eye Brightening Corrector and together these two products banish any signs of fatigue.
It's all about the base...
First up we have the BECCA Backlight Priming Filter primer, which does exactly what it says on the tin! It's the ultimate fix for skin showing signs of lacklustre skin and with it's intuitive free-radical fighting formula and a featherweight texture it's the ultimate first step to a soft focus flawless base. Next up we have the super affordable Natural Collection Tinted Moisturiser which is perfect for those days when you only need sheer coverage, mixed with the insanely versatile Clinique Bronzing Gelee this is actually one of my favourite bases! Sticking with Clinique, the Beyond Perfecting 2-in-1 Foundation is one of my absolute favourites and has featured on my blog quite a few times. It's flawless, richly pigmented and long lasting coverage makes it a go to foundation for long days at work, evening's out and events. Moving onto another amazing foundation the Vichy Dermablend definitely gives the most full coverage base, but with a damp beauty blender and some simple blending you can still make this look natural. I love how long lasting this foundation is and it's even more pigmented than the Clinique 2-in-1. I often mix this with my BECCA primer, which gives it a lovely radiant sheen. Finally, we have the Clinique Even Better Foundation SPF15, which gives a buildable light to medium coverage making it perfect for everyday use. I'm on my fourth bottle and I can see this one staying in my collection for a very long time as it's so versatile, plus it's oil-free, which works so well for my normal to combination skin.

I hope you've enjoyed this post and I would love to hear about your favourite beauty bases?

Summer Skincare Favourites ☀️

When it comes to skincare I try to keep a few hero products consistently within my routine. However, I also like to swap in and out a few additional products to make sure I'm making the most of my skincare collection. Here's an update on a few of my summer favourites!

I received this scrub as part of my Birchbox subscription and was instantly intrigued by the brand Polaar, especially when I saw that they have a product called Lapland cream, which I'm yet to try... going off on a bit of a tangent I'm obsessed with Lapland and can't wait to go back! Anyhoo, I actually really like this scrub, which features Artic Cotton; a real powerhouse ingredient that is known for its moisturising and detoxifying properties. I use this scrub around twice a week and I'm left with cool, calm and velvety smooth skin.

Anyone who has followed me for a while will know that this product is my ultimate HG. it's the first skincare product that I truly fell in love with and it has stayed put in my routine for over 8 years. I love to use this after cleansing am/pm to ensure my skin is completely clean and that any cleanser residue is gone. It also does a wonderful job of balancing my skin and soothing it after cleansing and applying face masks, plus it smells amazing and is alcohol free.

Another HG product and worth its weight in gold. Nothing sorts my skin out like this does and even when I ditch it for new serums, I always end up coming back to ANR and each use reminds me of why it's my absolute favourite serum. It can be used day and night and with its exclusive ChronoluxCB technology it allows you to wake up with smoother, radiant, hydrated and generally more beautiful looking skin.

Say hello to yet another HG product - The Oskia Renaissance Cleansing Gel. It is an absolute dream to use, everything from it's gorgeous pink texture to it's delicate scent make this cleanser the best I have ever tried. My skin feels so clean and visibly brighter after each wash. It's also super low maintenance to use but remains so luxurious, every use feels like such a treat!

After treating myself to the PTR Introductory Mask Kit, I was disappointed that I didn't actually see much difference when using the majority of the masks. However, the PTR Rose Stem Cell Bio-Repair Gel Mask is a cutting-edge face mask, which helps ease the signs of ageing, as well as hydrating and tightening pores. It uses five Rose plant stems cells and four Rose extracts, which make this mask a real powerhouse. I also love that this is a non-messy clear gel, which makes it perfect for a quick fix or even as an in-flight treat.

If I had to pick a mask brand to use forever... it would be Origins without a doubt, they slay skincare in general but their mask game is on top, and this particular mask is a real favourite of mine. It's 2-in-1 formulations works deeply to not only cleanse, but also exfoliate your skin, restoring vitality back into your complexion. A dreamy blend of Mediterranean rose clay and Canadian willow herb polish and refine the skin's texture with the help of exfoliating jojoba beads to leave your skin in its best possible condition.

What are your skincare favourites this summer?

Rimmel London #Insta Conceal & Correct Review

I've never been much good at colour correcting and to be honest I've never really found a colour correcting product I actually really like. A lot either seem to be chalky or impossible to blend. However, a little while back I decided to give the new Rimmel #INSTA Colour Correcting Palette a go and I'm happy to report that it is definitely one of the better colour correcting products I've tried.

The Rimmel London #Insta Conceal & Correct Palette (£6.49) is a dinky correcting palette, which is super cute to look at and also very travel friendly. With Instagram still being a thing (despite the algorithm woes) I love that this palette is on trend and actually it does really work. There are three shades; a lovely peachy shade to combat dark circles, a vibrant green shade to hide redness and finally a lovely lilac shade to add brightness to any dull areas.
As I mentioned earlier I've tried quite a few high end and drugstore correctors and they haven't really done that much or have ended making me look a little scary! I love that the texture of the #INSTA palette is so creamy and velvety, which allows you to blend with ease. My favourite shade is the green as it does such an amazing job of covering up redness, which I have around my cheeks and forehead. The peachy shade is equally lovely and does a good job of neutralising my dreaded dark circles. I haven't found as much use for the lilac shade yet, but it is still great quality and totally blendable like the other shades. There is also a hand diagram on the back of the palette to give you a guidance on how to apply for the best results.

I'm not quite sure if I will give up my Insta filters, but I'm so happy to find a budget corrector palette that really does work.

I hope you have enjoyed this review, have you tried anything from the #INSTA range?

L'Oreal Paradise Extatic Mascara Review

Happy Sunday Lovelies! Is anyone else a sucker for ANYTHING Rose Gold? I've got about four mascara's on the go that need to be used at the moment, but of course the beauty blogger in me justified another one! On social media I've been seeing a lot of new releases and one that caught my eye was the Paradise range from L'Oreal. I went into my local Superdrug and everything was sold out, luckily the boots across the street had a few of the Paradise Extatic Mascaras (£9.99) left, so I thought I would go ahead and pick one up.

Firstly, let's appreciate the Rose Gold! It's such a pretty looking mascara. The overall look and feel of the packaging is nice and I love the Paradise theme. I tend to use high end mascara's on a day to day basis, as I've never really found a cheaper version that stays put and doesn't clump or fall out after an hour or two. I was expecting this mascara to be more in my face, but actually I was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't clumpy or over the top. It actually reminded me of my Chanel Le Volume Mascara. It has great staying power and a really nice texture, which you don't have to tug to get off. It is infused with lash-loving Castor oil, which noticeably makes the application softer and a lot more comfortable than other drugstore mascaras I have tried in the past.

Overall, I think this is a really nice mascara. The results aren't as bold as I was expecting, but actually I'm glad. It's very buildable and has such a lovely comfortable stay-put formula. Have you tried anything from the Paradise range?

Joico K-PAK Colour Therapy Review

I was actually shocked a few weeks back when I saw the before and after of my recent trip to Hair By Jones. I couldn't believe how dry, coarse and generally unruly my hair had got and a refresh was very much needed. I was introduced to the brand Joico during my appointment and of course the beauty blogger in me had to try a few products. Recently, Joico got in touch and asked if I would like to check out a few products from their colour range. I've been amazed by how well these Joico products have protected my hair since my cut and colour, my sister even asked if I had been again when I uploaded the below picture to Instagram!

The K-PAK Color Therapy range is an intuitive formula using advanced QuadraBond Peptide Complex of peptides, African Manketti and Argan Oil, which repairs and seals the hair's outer protective layer. I've never really coloured my hair that much, but I fancied a change and even though it might not be an extreme change, it does seem that way for me! A lot of shampoo's on the market aren't actually colour safe and can strip and wash that expensive color service right down the drain, which is where the Quadrabond Peptide Complex comes in handy, by attaching to the damage sites of hair structure whilst repelling external moisture that can lead to loss of your colour.

Since using the entire Colour Therapy range I have noticed how vibrant and healthy my hair looks, plus my colour still looks brand new. With such an intense formula I was worried that it might make my oil prone roots even oilier. However, I can confirm that my hair looks fresh, healthy and non greasy after every single wash. During the week I use the Shampoo and Conditioner duo, but once a week I treat myself to the K-PAK Luster Lock Treatment, which is a fabulous pre-shampoo treatment, which gives a real boost of repair and protection. Silk, soy and seaweed extract help to prevent damage during styling.

Last but not least we have the K-PAK Protect & Shine Serum, which I absolutely love! Just before drying I add a drop or two through damp hair and before I know it I have gleaming hair that is totally flyaway free. It contains the same Peptide Complex as the entire K-PAK range with the addition of Macadamia seed and Evening Primrose Oils, which adds featherweight moisture to your hair. As I mentioned earlier using more product than usual made me worry about weighing my hair down. However, my hair loves this system and I look forward to bright, bouncy and protected hair after every single wash.

BOMB Cosmetics Bath Blasters

I just can't resist a bath bomb, especially when they're as pretty as BOMB Cosmetics Bath Blasters! - Summer is supposedly here, but the recent darker days have started to give me serious autumn vibes, which means saying goodbye to refreshing showers and hello to a long and luxurious soak in the bath. For just under £3 these Bath Blasters are super cute and add will add a touch of sparkle to any pamper session!
馃悮 Mermaids' Delight 馃悮
With my holiday to Dubai coming up soon, I thought I would pick up Mermaids' Delight to get me even more excited than I already am for my travels! It smells pretty much like a tropical paradise and definitely gives me holiday vibes, especially as I'm looking to plan a few more vacations in. It contains ylang ylang and sandalwood along with natural butters, which make it a perfect pre-holiday treat.

馃 I Believe In Unicorns 馃馃
As I type this I'm actually sat in my "Snooziecorn" PJ's, so it's safe to say I do believe in Unicorns! - I've had this bath blaster before and this pink beauty is the ultimate girly girl bath blaster. It smells so lovely and sweet, but not sickly! Geranium and Frankincense essential oils also help to restore your inner princess!

馃寛Over The Rainbow 馃寛
Last but not least when I saw this bath blaster it totally reminded me of The Wizard of Oz and it also smelt beautiful...so it had to go in the basket. Jasmine and Clary Sage essential oils take you on a euphoric experience as the blue swirl of natural butters condition your skin - damn, I can't wait to try this one.

Have you tried BOMB Cosmetics before, if so what would you recommend?

Hair By Jones Monmouth Review

Credit: Hair By Jones
My mum always tells me that my hair is my crown and glory and I do feel lucky to have long, thick and naturally wavy hair. However, my busy lifestyle usually means that I end up neglecting it. I don't know about you but washing and drying my own hair has gives me the fear factor, especially when it can easily take me two hours to wash, treat, dry and style. I just want to sleep when I get back from work! - A few weeks ago my sister had her hair done and it looked so lovely, so I thought I would ask where she had been as her long-term hairdresser had recently moved to London.

Hair By Jones is a family run premier salon in the thriving and absolutely stunning market town of Monmouth. The team at Hair By Jones are all highly trained experts in the hair industry and creative director; Aimee has recently made it through to the grand final of the L'Oreal Colour Trophy Awards 2017 (one of just 36 hairdressers from across the country)

I decided spur of the moment to call Hair By Jones to see if they had any available appointments, and they did! As you will see below my hair had got too long, coarse and pretty hard to maintain, so a refresh was very much needed. I entered the Salon and was instantly greeted by friendly smiles and the lovely Jess who took me upstairs to get comfortable before meeting my stylist, who was equally as lovely! - I was brought out a lovely little wooden tray with water, nibbles and of course a few magazines, it was a really nice touch. After a short wait I was introduced to Aimee (creative director) and my stylist Natalia, we talked about my hair and discussed a few styles and also what I had in mind for colour. I don't tend to colour my hair, but I really did feel like a change, so it was great to talk to Aimee and Natalia who made sure I was completely comfortable with the plan for my hair. In the end I had a freehand balayage with a cut and finish by the lovely Natalia.

One of my favourite parts of the day was when I was taken into the luxurious private L'Oreal colour specialist bar with Gemma Shiatsu massage sofas. I always like to have a treatment on my hair, especially when having colour and the massage chairs really made me feel like I was enjoying a spa day. Overall, I really enjoyed my experience at Hair By Jones and I have to say a huge thanks to Natalia for making me feel comfortable and being so lovely. I'm so happy with the way my hair looks   thanks to all the talented Hair By Jones team.
